I submitted as usual.  No graph appears.

Page 9 image 92 "Bhz' (3,059) which assumes that everyone did that with just one tag Standard Tag only. 892?

That's  a good position (ranking).  My best (of three) pseudos is the first image on page 7.  My other pseudos are further back.

I'm going to assume you have 10 supertags for each image, and a full caption that includes most of those supertags.
Try this:  Put "BHZ" without quotes in a regular tag of any one image (not in the caption or a supertag).  Do this for any other pseudonyms you have.  Wait a day or two for the database to update.    Search for BHZ.  What page is your image on?  If your image(s) is/are well back of halfway down the 33 pages, you're in trouble.  I would suggest moving your best images (sold or zoomed) into a new pseudonym that should land you close to the middle of the field in terms of ranking.  See if the zooms/sales of those images improve.  Also check using BHZ.
Thanks for the interesting idea - I'll give it a try and see what effect it has :)

I personally believe that I was simply pushed into an "unpopular" corner because this transition happened from one day to the next. Suddenly views and zooms were virtually non-existent.
But it doesn't hurt to try it out :)

Curious minds want to know what page you landed on for BHZ?
BTW, Alamy has been having trouble with their "Measures" off and on for a while now.  So a sudden loss of views and zooms may in part be explained by a technical glitch.  But not a sudden drop in sales.

That is strange.  Worth investigating.  Even in these market conditions, with 31,000 images you should be making several hundred dollars a month.
I absolutely agree with you and I don't understand how it came about.
One observation I made... I normally had about 4,500 views per month and a number of zooms.
These views dropped from one day to the next to about 400 views per month - I don't know why, but if you suddenly only have 9% of your previous views, hardly anyone buys anything.

Presumably Alamy also uses some algorithm to ensure that you appear in searches or not - and I was probably simply "downgraded".
I can't think of any other explanation, but if anyone has any ideas - let me know :)

That is strange.  Worth investigating.  Even in these market conditions, with 31,000 images you should be making several hundred dollars a month.

So slow as to be practically useless.  Oh oh.

So rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated?

I was told by Alamy that they're working on it.  Since Monday.  No joy yet.

With about 12,000 images at Alamy, they used to be my best portal.  Same number of images at SS, but they were always my lowest earner.
With only about 8,000 images at AS, they started coming to Alamy income levels in 2022, and surpassed them in 2023.  This month is telling:
Alamy $19
SS $72
AS $254
And there are no large swings at AS, VERY consistent month to month this year (+/- $10).

Are we talking about pictures of the cover of a BILD newspaper?  I always wondered about that, but Alamy definitely allowed that in the past as editorial content.

I did send them a Canadian citizen certification letter a few years ago, and they usually last 5 years.  In any case that would mean they just withhold some tax.
I have sent them an invoice for each year of income according to their specs.  I hear other people have similar problems.

I would advise you to stay away.  They were doing OK a decade ago, but I have not been able to paid for several years now.  Alfonso owes me several hundred dollars.  I'm not optimistic.

Mat, you may have mentioned this elsewhere, but I must have missed it.
If I use Generate in photoshop to remove an item from my photograph, do I have to check the AI box?
Thanks

Looks like the real Stones showed up in the last frame (at their real ages).  Otherwise - oh how young we were.

Way better than SS - $282 based on 9000 photographs at AS.

hi any one receive payment yet
While this is a separate beef: No, in addition to long review times and rote rejections - payment is late.

A few images made it through today.  Many rejected but for a new reason.  Before it was "Quality Issues" (nonsense); now it's "Similar Image(s) already submitted".  In most cases that's not true either - nothing similar has been accepted or submitted before (although a few had been submitted and rejected for "quality issues").  I'm going to try smaller batches.

Thanks Roscoe, I forgot about that.  I got $40 in May too.  So I guess the next one will in time for my birthday early November.

The latest e-mail from SS has: "The Contributor Fund will release earnings every 6 months"
If that's all we get for 6 months of usage, it is very underwhelming.

Well, since a payment in December 2022, now June 2023 has past and still no additional Contributor funds.  Are they late?  Did SS change their minds?

Jo Anne, I get the
disappearing furniture
Father spelled wrong
Mislabeled food
fantasy USA map
Onions on apple pie
Roti?
Nonsense lamps

but what exactly is wrong with the Roti?

I'm going to watch this space to see if AS stops rejecting batches of photography for "Quality" that would have passed before and consistently pass at other sites.  Until then I'll pause uploads, as it is now a waste of time.

I can add my voice to the mystery of recent rejections.  I had 8 rejected for Quality Issues.  The explanation for not meeting their "standard" is: "Common issues that can impact the technical quality of images include exposure issues, soft focus, excessive filtering or artifacts/noise."  Soft focus?  I downsampled the 130 MB files to 60 MB (45.4 Mpixel to 21 Mp).  Still, all were rejected again.  I've never seen this before.  Something has changed.

This is no place for political discussions of any kind.
If by Political Discussions you mean nasty postings that denigrate others, yes.
Otherwise, discussions "of any kind" should never be suppressed or restricted.

Back to the topic at hand:  I had sale today for $574 USD ($230 net).  I'd have to go back quite a few years to match that.

I got about $40 yesterday for the AI fund.  SS's lead for the month won't last long.
