..just guessing but i think he means istock had a lot of complaints and now in the past few days
313,956 photos have been added to the E+ collection on Getty - you can check by going to advanced search and choosing the collection (E+) and typing in "image" and you see how many there are.
I think the E+ contributors will start seeing sales next month? I'm not sure exactly how many of those were just added... .....most. I would think the move was planned a long time ago;)
Happy Holidays

Will deactivating a photo on Istock remove the photo from Thinkstock?

I'm surprised more people are not ranting as independents are now buried - it seems like a pretty big deal for independents who use to have some popular photos at istock.  That is quite a shuffle - I would have guessed it would have been wise to keep a few independent files up front if they are relevant and popular for buyers and for independents to keep them engaged. Ha   Well peter is pretty good;).  And actually mostly does his own kind of printing which looks really good.
Its a trade secret but i know most are no thicker than paper.  Some variation of lightjet is my guess.
He has good photoshop, displays, galleries, lighting, floors, furniture, fireplaces;).  Everything is well done and well thought out.   Very well thought out!

I have done a few and i love the luminiosity.   I would not say they are better.  Just more saturated, liminious, rich, they are more expensive.   Depends on what your going for. But tey are beautiful

thanks for the helpful info;)
yes that's me;)  i have not submitted to istock much but i am curious! I have been cautious about microstock so far but i have experimented with the different agencies...

...i didn't know the process is the same for submitting for vetta and agency

so once i go exclusive i'm allowed to submit a few per week and its all up to the editors?

Hi
can someone tell me the benefit in going exclusive with istock? (besides percentage rate increase)
how do you get a file into vetta? agency collection?   curious ...thanks in advance.

lagereek..well thats good news your RM RPI is going up;)

seriously its good news  - is it because your building your collections? or do you just have some great agencies that work well with you?

so far from the thread its getty / corbis
...sometimes other RM boutique agencies

than Microstock

than alamy

more or less from what i can gather;)
#12
i've never heard anyone say getty sells less than alamy?
just curious.. ..that would be a first for my ears
