Isn't it another good reason to love Adobe?

We are all wondering where our money suddenly came from.

While in Shutter forum we have been wondering where our money suddenly went. :D

Adobe Stock / Rating: 5 stars on some Adobe photos
« on: March 22, 2022, 05:57 »
I did not find a match for this topic, so I just share a curious question that I have.

My company has Adobe Stock subscription and I download several photos each month. I have discovered that when looking at the meta info of those files, some have 5 stars, some have 4, some have none.

How is this rating applied to a file? By the person who reviews the images or based on some automated function?

Shutterstock.com / Re: Reactivated Images Missing?
« on: December 12, 2020, 01:35 »
Yes, two weeks and nothing. Although the images are there - in my catalog manager. Even my portfolio on the live site shows that the collections have images in them. But when I open the actual collection - none of those images is shown.

Maybe they have not had this situation before that contributors have opted out and then back in. So the software  actually does not have this scenario  :D

Big respect from me too. This kind of personal approach to contributors is quite unique. I have also experienced this when I once contacted AS contributor support.

My question was about submitting music - as Adobe started to offer audio as well. Although it appeared that submitting music was not open for contributors, the person answering to me expressed his personal hope that it will be so one day. And actually in most cases it is all we need - no copy-paste from terms&conditions but a real person replying with his own words and showing to be on the same side with us. So although I got a negative answer, it was done in a most positive form and left me with a good feeling as a result.

This department is sure well lead in AS and a good example on how this should be done.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock release UI improvement
« on: November 12, 2020, 15:54 »
As it has transformed into a wider discussion on UI and the usage of keywords - if we had simple statistics next to all the images, how many times our image has been viewed in the search results, it would give valuable feedback, whether certain images have not been found or have just not been chosen. This way people would know, whether it is the quality of the photo or the keywords that need to be improved.

So any time a logged-in client makes a search, all the photos in the pages he opens receive a new view in the counter.

When a contributor checks out the statistics of the unsuccessful images, he at least has the statistics on where the problem was. If an image has been viewed many times but never bought - it is clear that the problem is in the photo quality or irrelevant keywords. But if an image has never been viewed, the photo is either on a non popular topic or does not have the keywords people look for.
