Dreamstime.com / Re: Im sorry about Dreamstime
« on: February 17, 2020, 15:00 »
You'll be even more sorry when the time comes to close your account. They will make you
disable thousand of images one by one :p
Luckily it can be coded to go faster :D

123RF / Re: 123rf reducing commissions
« on: June 28, 2018, 08:14 »
The commissions reducing is disgusting indeed but for the past 3 months,
tons of my images won't show up in the search.
It didn't matter if I tried 2-3 keywords or the whole title, zero results :|

Sales tanked badly and coupled with the lower commissions, the recipe for disaster was completed. :(
I contacted the support and they're "working" on it, that was 2 months ago.
Pure bs agency, next step is deleting my account :|

That's correct but all the images will get the new watermark treatment.
Until they manage to do all the images in the database, all the new images will have blurred previews. The clients would see blurred previews next to sharp old ones :|

4
I just noticed they lowered the quality of the previews, they look out of focus :|

The contributor support confirmed that this is an anti-theft measure.
Now the clients would think that the images are of low quality.

Another brilliant way to kill the sales :(

5
It seems that the under dollar Single is the new "On Demand" :p
$0.59 instead of $2.85, glorious microstock times.

I got this "train" of duplicates from time to time :|

« on: March 10, 2017, 12:07 »
the images that have some added elements are stolen since it's a lot harder to subtract something from an image ;)

CB removed the images, the best photographer was left with no photos :D

wow ... that portfolio has images from all the big stock agencies :|
They don't seem to be in a rush to remove the port :p

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Giving myself the gift of no more iStock
« on: December 23, 2016, 14:36 »
Good choice ! :D
Last week I sent the request too ... hope to get rid of them asap.
I'm feed up with their "good news" and royalties drop :p

123RF / Re: Selective review
« on: December 05, 2016, 15:49 »
Lucky you :D
I sent them a message and they said "we will have someone assigned to review your submissions at the soonest". That was on 11th last month and not a single image was reviewed since :| Those were also Christmas images. One month on the queue is the new norm :p

« on: December 02, 2016, 18:27 »
I've got the same error using firefox but it works fine in Chrome and Opera browser

13
drop them like a bad habit :D

my reply from shutterstock was "please provide us with any information you may have which makes you believe that a license to this image was purchased from Shutterstock (as opposed to another stock agency or source)".  :o  really ??!!

after 10 days the DMCA notice sent to freestockhere did nothing ... the images are still up :|

Shutterstock.com / Re: Ever more erratic sales
« on: June 23, 2016, 17:17 »
other reasons might be the site outages and a lot of new contributors/images :|

Software / Re: Xpiks - open source software for microstocker
« on: March 10, 2016, 09:55 »
Nice program ;) Thanks ! Keep up the good work !

Would it be possible to limit the number of keywords at the "suggested keywords" stage ?
I saw that you can "Check warnings" but I think it would be more useful at the keywording stage.

really slow review time and sales going down .. not a good combo :|

General - Top Sites / Re: Alamy passed Fotolia??
« on: March 10, 2016, 08:45 »
I had to close my Alamy account since I had 4 small sales from 1 Jan 2015 :| (contributing from 2009 with a portfolio of 6k+ images/illustrations only).
So I'm not sure how accurate are those ratings ... maybe the sales are better for other contributors but for me it was a big fail.

123RF / Re: 123rf more than one month to review footage
« on: March 10, 2016, 06:23 »
123rf became a slow crawling snail regarding the review time :( My queue was over one month old and 200 images waiting :p
I sent them an email and they said the volume of images coming in is very high. Probably they don't have enough reviewers to cope with that load.
After that they approved the queue but now I'm in the same spot ... sending emails for each batch is ridiculous.

ELs deactivated for all my images :D

Dt is still living in the stone age. The site interface is older than hot water and the upload process,  image by image is a big joke. Not to mention the stupid reasons for rejections.
They are set on the road to hit rock bottom :|

Veer / Re: Veer closing
« on: March 04, 2016, 18:39 »
If you get "Server Error in '/' Application." try logging in through a proxy or anonymize site ;)

Veer / Re: Veer closing
« on: March 02, 2016, 04:31 »
I'm stuck at $64 for almost a year .. the sales were non existent.
Today it seems the Veer server is down with an error, probably too many users trying to get their
screenshots :))
As long as they pay the remainder of my earnings I won't loose sleep over the closing. :p

DepositPhotos / Re: Changes in royalties
« on: February 29, 2016, 19:41 »
Dropped them like a bad habit :D
Very low sales and my images were sold by dubious sites, using DP's API :p

I don't even want to think about those dreaded refunds ... like a nightmare.

123RF / Re: 123rf payment?
« on: February 28, 2016, 17:48 »
Just check your payment options as the payout limits are different.
Paypal has a $50 and Skrill $100 minimum.

123RF / Re: upload on 123rf
« on: February 28, 2016, 17:41 »
Lately it takes forever to get the images reviewed  ..

My latest batch was in queue almost a month and to top it up this month was
the worst, sale wise :|
The fact that no new images were approved  didn't help either :p
