Software - General / Do Keywords
« on: October 14, 2013, 17:51 »
Here is another keyword writer. I guess there are many others, I wrote this for myself because other apps did not do everything I needed. It is free and uses exiftool .

It is called 'Do Keywords' there is no help\instructions anywhere else (yet) not even made a web page for it, (actually not sure if it worth it, I have posted this on another forum and got zero feedback:)) Anyway, my last attempt to share this.

Screen and brief description:

(I hope this explains everything)

There are no image thumbnails, folder navigation etc. - just use Windows Explorer for that.

Type in caption, title abd keywords and drag & drop file(s) from Explorer on buttons ('to write' \ 'to read'). That's it.

Features list
-can do multiple files on 'to write' i.e. apply to batch
-remove duplicate keywords and sort them (sort is optional, see settings)
-counts keywords and chars in caption as you type
-spell checker (en-US only for now)
-use space as keyword delimiter (paste an article from wiki, get keywords... need to clean 'the' 'with' 'of' though)
-backup source jpegs (by default, back up is done by exiftool)
-option to rebuild exif data (helps if exif is broken)
-add optional e-mail\author\copyright fieds (in settings)
-for editorial caption, can add IS\SS prefixes, drop file on 'to read' to get exif date before using
-can remove all exif data before writing
-copy to clipboard title + caption + keywords as text
-hints: Cntrl + D to clean up keyword, Cntrl+Z/Cntrl+Y for undo/redo plus whatever WPF supports by default

Can download installer from my viewfactorimages.com, look for 'Do Keywords' on right side

(I do not promise support or adding features, unless find them usefull (for myself)))). So use it 'as is' and enjoy or ... just delete ;) )

.. Even if we just rounded to the nearest answer we'd see the same problem.  If you earn $36 on site A and $74 on site be they would both get the $50 answer.  When people get close to voting the next level though, there will be others who did mange to break the next level.  There will also be those who had bigstock below the $20 mark so I think all in all the average will work out to give us some good pointers.
A. if you round to nearest number, the biggest error is half of the interval. $15 for [20 to 50]
B. if you round to low boundary, the biggest error is interval (-1 cent), i.e. almost one interval. $29.99 for the same case

average error, for method A would be 1/4 of interval {(min + max) / 2 = (0 + 15) / 2 = $7.5}, method B average error is 1/2 of interval = $15 , so accuracy of A is better :)

I guess one way of assessing inspection process of an agency overall would be looking at the latest accepted images. Just search anything, sort by acceptance date - here go. Take the number of bad images divide by total number.

To me (I am beginner, and am looking mainly for consistence) FT rejects almost everything, but that's fine as long as they are consistent with others.  CanStock accepts almost everything, this is also ok with me as they follow their interests. And SS and 123 seem to me most inconsistent (it looks like 123 is improving though, so I voted SS)
