About the Canon 24-105 F4L... I own the 24-70 but thought I'd prefer the weight and range of the 24-105. Did a two-week swap with a fellow photog to try it out. Found that the distortion (both close in and wide) was loads worse than what I was used to from the 24-70 (which only has some distortion zoomed out wide). Also, in the end I decided I preferred the wider aperture to the IS. So no final swap. Now I'm thinking I'll end up with the 17-40 F4L and the 100 F2.8 IS Macro. And possibly the 50mm F1.8II because it's dead cheap, light and nice to have indoors in poor light.

Be sure to download the application that lets you upload directly to iStock via iPhoto. Let's you do iptc keywords and also assign categories. It's great!
Ok...so u r suggesting that iPhoto is the best option? and then download http://www.bullstorm.se/KeywordManager.php? I dont understand why there is one download and one that needs to pay?
Just mentioned the iPhoto add-on to make it easier for you to upload to iStock. Just presumed you found some other way to add IPTC to your photos (such as your photo editing software).

I paid for it and used it for a while but had serious problems with the software leaving out metadata for about 2 in 10 downloads. In the end I was so pissed off I stopped using it and went back to ftp. Oh, and I downloaded the iStock add-on for iPhoto which works better with iStock than Prostockmaster (PSM seriously screws up disambiguation).

Ach. This is just pants. Really, how difficult can it be to keep the credits on a fairly similar level? The difference between and for me is approx 33 cents, which adds up quite quickly...

Doing fairly well here too. IS, on the other hand...

Sounds good. All I seem to get are subs, subs and more subs. Getting tired of those 30 cent downloads...

Jeez. Give them a bit more time. If it wasn't for Lucky Oliver I think we'd never see this discussion about Yay this early. And if we actually want them to succeed stopping uploads is probably the dumbest thing to do...

Sales at IS are down by quite a bit. And the images selling are not the same ones as before the change. SS and DT are up while the rest are down.
