The video service will only be opened first to contributors before the official release date. Only registered contributors will be informed to start uploading video and have premium access to the website.

You definitely have to convert the h.264 clips out of the camera to PhotoJPEG. I got mine accepted on IS today. This process applies to pretty much any stock footage site you might submit to.

Practically no one will accept a h.264 encoded clip.

Stokfoto,

There is only one site significant site that offers Rights Managed collections is (generally) considered mid-stock. Thought Equity (thoughtequity.com). Pond5, Istock, and Shutterstock (along with virtually every microstock site) only sells royalty-free.

You could try submitting to them. The thing I think you need to be aware of however, is that most rights-managed pieces are part of a much larger collection. So for instance, a lifestyle clip of a mother and daughter say, cooking, will be a part of a collection shot by the same filmmaker consisting of dozens of similar clips, often involving the same models. I did a quick search and had no luck at all finding rights-managed editorial footage.

What I'm saying is, I think you're going to have a problem trying to offload one or two clips to them (especially editorial) as rights-managed. I'd be willing to bet good money that you won't get much past the application phase.
