All time: 1447 7 days: 1920 (I guess it's been a bad week...) Total Sold: 347
Fotolia hadn't been doing that great for me until recently. I think they have better penetration in Europe than some others.

I'd suggest the Curonian Peninsula and possibly the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania (in addition to Vilnius, of course). Also, Rumsiskes has a historical park (kind of like Colonial Williamsburg). Tallinn is a great city. If I were you I would take the high speed ferry over to Helsinki for the day and then come back to Tallinn, which is cheaper and more attractive (IMHO). OTOH Helsinki is a nice city in the summer and there are a lot of neat things to do there too. My portfolios have a bunch of Lithuania pics in them if you're interested. Have fun! Marcviln Hi there,
I'm planing atrip for late May - early June to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. I'm thinking of 14-17 days in the area, maybe extending a couple of days in Helsinki. I haven't drafted my itinerary yet, but I'm planing of course the capitals plus some other main cities and also some natural areas. Any suggestions of places to visit (or not visit) are appreciated.
Regards, Adelaide

It has come to my attention that the new implementation of Yahoo! Widgets 4 for Mac (and possibly for Windows) causes serious errors for MicroStock Watcher v1.5. The Mac Dashboard version still functions properly.
I regret that there probably will not be an additional version of MSW since I have been running it on a shoestring and will likely be shutting it down altogether soon.
If someone is interested in taking it over (i.e. purchasing the intellectual property and rights), please feel free to send me an email.
I have not set a target "shut down" date yet for the website but no further support will be provided after 1 June.
I thank everyone who purchased the widget and those who provided comments/suggestions. The creation of the widget was a great learning experience and I hope it has been helpful to those of you who use it.

Can somebody post the address for the locked SS forum thread on this? Thanks.

The fact that your sales are half of last year, when most people have experienced increases nearly every month, doesn't tell you anything??
Vicu - That was a rather snarky comment considering I was just soliciting other peoples' experiences. And, from what I have seen in other groups, it was inaccurate. Many other people have noticed severe income drops at iStock since the DA-ing debacle began. Not everyone, to be sure, but have a look at this thread: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/micropayment/message/13037Also, as noted in my original message, my sales have been overwhelmingly non-DA'ed files. That tells me something.

I went back and looked at my D/Ls for Nov and Dec at iStock and noticed that the sales have been running about 4 to 1 in favor of the files I didn't disambiguate. This would seem to argue in favor of giving up on the onerous task of DA-ing altogether. That said, I'm not sure how many total files I have DA'ed out of the total portfolio, so maybe it's just proportional. I would also note that my Dec sales were 1/2 the previous year, when I had many fewer images on the site. All in all not a stellar sign for 2007. What has your experience been in terms of DA'ed vs un-DA'ed sales? [my iStock p'folio]: http://www.istockphoto.com/user_view.php?id=503685

Glad it's working. Best regards, Marcviln. YingYang0 - The iStock problem may have been related to a broader server issue they had yesterday (reported on this forum and in others). Please check it again; I have double checked it from my end and it appears to function.
Marcviln
Nope. Still not working for iStock. It works for the other sites, just not iStockphoto. It is 8am US central time here.
Update: It's working now. It was my fault, didn't read the manual so didn't know I had to delete the name/password, restart the widget, then retype it information in .

As I predicted, the problem was on the Shutterstock side. They switched their login mode from https to http. We have modified MicroStock Watcher accordingly and it seems to function properly now. The new version (1.3 for Dashboard, 1.2 for Yahoo! Widgets - no functionality difference, just version numbers) is available for download at http://www.microstockwatcher.com/download.htmlMarcviln Bedouin Ventures LLC We are aware of the Shutterstock problem and are looking into it. It may in fact be an issue with SS rather than the widget. I will post something here once we have identified the issue. We thank everyone who has downloaded the software.

They're having trouble with their servers. The forum's all messed up, so maybe this problem is related.

Thanks for your patience. The Window (Yahoo! Widget) version is now available on our site ( www.microstockwatcher.com). We were working out some cookie and firewall issues but we believe the application is stable now. Best regards, Marcviln just thought I would bring this back to the top, any new on the windows version.
I see the Mac version has been running a week or so now but no news on the windoes version.
Any mac users that have tried this your feed back would be good.
Thanks

To help me feed my addiction I searched around looking for some sort of program to watch all the sites that I submit to and found this http://www.microstockwatcher.com/
This seems like a fantastic idea and I was was wondering has anyone else found things similar that we could try before this is completed? I am so impatient and would like to see one which works now.
tristinh - My company created MicroStock Watcher. Thanks for your interest and your compliments. The Mac OSX 10.4 version is ready now and the Windows Yahoo! Konfabulator version should be done soon. I'm hoping to release it next week. If you use a PC, please be patient for a few more days. If you use a Mac, I would invite you to give it a try. Best regards, marcviln www.microstockwatcher.com
