Do not worry, your FUJI is good enough for stock photo! For first submission on Shutterstock avoid macro shoots - here You have problems with focusing. Better shoot something without zooming, on lower possible ISO and all will be OK! If images will be rejected, try again and again - one editor will reject, but another will accept the same photo!
You do not need buy camera and equipment for thousands $ and shoot photos for sale $ 0.25! One third of my PF was shoot by 7.1 MP Canon A550 and these images have regular sales today. DSLR has too shallow DOF. 6

Dreamstime.com / Re: Google Images' new layout - how this impacts photographers and webmasters« on: February 05, 2013, 14:35 »Just a thought, I wonder if this is something to do with the new pay per view models coming online (the Getty API thing, the way ads on Youtube compensate the copyright holders-- all that stuff) Seriously, i think, nobody never will get any compensation from Google, may be only from hosting site owner, but it is a long, long way... People, purchased full size image on DT may not resell it, but is it forbidden to give it away for free, without money? 8
Dreamstime.com / Re: Google Images' new layout - how this impacts photographers and webmasters« on: February 05, 2013, 14:20 »
I understand - if somebody was so stupid, bought my image on DT for money, later placed it on his web page in full size, yes, image become accessible for everybody. With mp3 files is the same - one person bought song, hosted on her site and millions can download it for free. But where is fault of Google search? In petition you can read: ...4. It will be difficult for users to find the images they are looking for. ... Petition authors think, it will be more difficult, not more easy to stole our images?! 9
Dreamstime.com / Re: Google Images' new layout - how this impacts photographers and webmasters« on: February 05, 2013, 12:39 »The problem is that Google is not hosting the content. The person hosting the content is probably legally using it. It would only harm them to attempt to tell Google to block it. It is the nature of the software itself, not individual stolen images, which is the problem. Please, explain to me, how can Google ...using the software to access our copyrighted images...? They can only link to thumbnails on DT web page, not to source files in computers! I made small experiment with my "bestseller": googled electronic-door-lock-dreamstime and find my image on first page as 3-d. "View original image" was linked to DT thumbnail, no problems! Repeating this in DT search, i find my image on 9-th place, approximately the same results. It look, after some time buyers will search images only on Google and site admins will loss benefits manipulate with search engine! 10

Where is a problem? Google can not hack your PC, have not access to your HDD. If somebody placed on his web page full size unwatermarked image, purchased or stolen, yes, new layout helps better and faster find it and "Save as", but nothing more! If some agency sell photos without your permission, you can more easy find it. I can not understand, how this search engine upgrade decrease DT sales?

Dreamstime.com / Re: New DT 2012 Pricing Structure« on: April 28, 2012, 11:58 »
Sometimes DT was the second best microstock site, today it is on 4-th place, really middle tier. Saving the site DT makes one mistake after another and are going down more and more. When it will be completely sunk, interesting, what will do all these ''happy exclusives'', begin from zero on other sites?

How long exist level 0, year, a bit more? All previous years new files without downloads was on level 1. DT team understand - level 0 was a mistake, and simple return back! 14

For interest - http://www.dreamstime.com/Bepsphoto_more-latest-adition_pg1 reviewer accepted 41 (!) photo with the same title ''Girl in underwear'' and the descriptions in groups of 5 - 7 identical. This photographer was more saccesfull as we, others...

I think, the greatest part of DT reviewers are normal and objective peoples, but there is one specially ''smart'' reviewer, who write these stupid answers (other reviewers use standard rejection templates). Interesting, he want different titles AND description - my images of one theme with different titles, but the same description was rejected. For fun - once i submitted photo of the woman, resting in armchair and got rejection reason: '' woman is with half opened eyes'' ! How must she relax - with full opened or closed eyes?

This was posted by Achilles:
We're constantly looking into the search placement, relevancy and sorting options. Things change weekly or monthly, even if sometimes you don't really see much difference. Each update will decrease sales for some contributors and improve them for others. This one may favor older images is true, but it also favors more users than relevancy sorting. The sort by download option includes more contributors in the first pages than the relevancy. Lots of times more contributors. And yes, others' earnings may be affected. Every change is temporary as long as this is in a constant update. We try to give everyone a fair chance in front of the buyers. This time it was the turn of already popular images. I think, these ''weekly or monthly'' manipulations with search engine is reason for cyclic waves in sales results! 17
Dreamstime.com / Re: Dreamstime - commissions just toooo low.....« on: January 28, 2012, 08:44 »Well maybe I am using the wrong metric but I really only care about average return per download and DT is my best site at $1.48 ahead of IS at $1.26 and SS at $0.48. Right, if you have the same downloads per day (or per month, or year) on al this sites. But if you have on DT 3 times higher return per download, and 10 times lower downloads per month as on SS, where you earned more? 18

Your posts on the forums are full of negative things about Dreamstime or the stock photo industry overall. Please stop doing that. After such ''comments'' everybody will lock his/her topic... 20

But i can recommend DT to all users:
- to buyers, becose i have my photos for sale on this site, but DT has too love sales... - to photographers, expecially dreaming about exclusivity- they will not be allowed submit their images on others, better selling sites! DT is the best site for beginners: no exams, no tests, most friendly. Who stay on DT, never will be an competitor for us on better sites. So, all to Dreamstimes!!! 23

I am getting 0.32 - 0.70 per sub sale on Dreamstime and stable 0.35 per sale on Shutterstock, but this month i had 22 sales on DT and 80 on SS! Where i earn more? Yes, DT pay a bit more, but they have too low sales...
