I wonder if it has something to do with your fps.
Maybe you can try to export your clips at 23.98 fps (NTFC) and see if they are accepted.

Thank you for your kindness on behalf of Canadians! Although we have not had any serious wildfires in Ontario this year, smog can be seen on a clear day. This YouTube video shows how a charming small town (Sundridge) in northern Ontario was under the influence of wildfires elsewhere: https://youtu.be/KsphulU7qsY

As I said, FAA allows you to set your prices. Some prices can be much higher than others.
But how much I made was not the point. My point is if we try different ways to promote our work, perhaps there are other possibilities.
A few days ago, I saw that there was a 6.25 money transfer fee, but today, the fee is gone. Maybe it was just a glitch.

$560 is my net for a single print sale. The hosting company prints, frames, and ships at no cost to me. I sold 10 prints at various prices from my website in May. You set your own prices. Sometimes I get $$$$ when the buyers buy multiple prints. Once I got $700 (half of 1400) from Alamy for one digital download for a print many years ago. But I haven't made anything nearly as much for a single download from the stock photo/video agencies since then. My point is, perhaps promotion through my YouTube channel is helpful to my print site. I sell videos through various agencies, but none of my single video download was close to $560. but I still got over US$560.
So, what I read about the author. "Charline Xia. One of her exhibitions was sponsored by and held at Steam Whistle Art Gallery in Toronto. Her photos have been published by many major public and private entities including the United Nations, Parks Canada, Forbes, The Globe and Mail, Linux, Canadian Geographic Magazine and many many others globally."
I apologize, of course, but for a photographer of this level, an income of $ 560 is very little. And as I understand it, you usually earn less.

I'll give you some advice, ditch your photography, shoot videos, you'll earn more dollars.
It doesn't say she was hired by those organisations/companies to do a shoot but only that they have published her photos. Myself, and probably many others out here, have all seen our photos bought and being used/published by big organisations and companies worldwide. But maybe my interpretation is wrong.

Really good! Besides the sales you mention in your post, do you make regular sales? And is your website powered by Shopify?
Yes, I am making monthly sales. You can choose any hosting site of your choice and do your own promotions. I use FAA. Now it charges for each money transfer, on top of the membership fee. But it is still worth it for me.

It has been a great month! Does it have anything to do with my recent YouTube promotion? In May, I have sold 10 prints through my prints site charlinex.com https://www.charlinex.com/. One print was sold at a discount but I still got over US$560. A few weeks ago, I started to link my YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/@charlinex5186) to charlinex.com, and vice versa. I don't know if the sales were linked to the promotional efforts, but it certainly does not hurt.

Thanks for sharing your success story and experience, well deserved! I have subscribed. I also have a YouTube channel which only has over 900 subscribers. https://www.youtube.com/@charlinex5186My channel has not reached monetarization but I am learning a lot and trying to improve. Now I aim at improving the quality with more editing and story-telling. I agree with you that we do need to find other ways to supplement our stock video revenues. Besides that, YouTube allows us to build a personal brand, while stock agencies don't often give us any credits.

Just an update. Since I posted my intention to promote my print website through my YouTube channel, some people have started to pitch their businesses, either to promote my YouTube channel or my website. Thanks, but no thanks. I will not respond to any such emails. But in case you enjoy my YouTube videos, here is another video about the courtship ritual of water birds, especially the trumpeter swans, in Lake Ontario: https://youtu.be/nNWpzU-IXhM?feature=sharedI would greatly appreciate if you subscribe to my channel and give my video a thumb-up.

Do you know how I can contact Adobe support to reset my password?
I clicked on the "Reset Your Password" link, but it doesn't go anywhere.
Do you know the email to contact the support?
Many thanks.

Thanks.
It took a lot of time. I wish that it will become an "evergreen" video.

I made another cross-platform attempt to incorporate my video clips, fine art and stock images in this YouTube vlog. Will it drive traffice to my website? https://youtu.be/miUEtRZtZ2c?feature=sharedI created this 4K YouTube video showcasing the beauty of the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls, Canada. This high-quality footage captures the lush tropical indoor gardens inside the conservatory, where colorful butterflies flutter freely in their natural habitat. The video features sharp, close-up images of many butterfly species, including the Blue Morpho, Malachite, Lime Swallowtail, Banded Orange, Isabella, Blue Cracker, Julia, Blue Moon, Rice Paper, Blue Frosted Banner, and more. These vibrant butterflies can be seen feeding on the vivid purple Porterweed, striking red ginger flowers, and bright yellow Lantana. Throughout the video, you'll also see beautiful interactions between the butterflies and visitors. As I entered the conservatory, a Blue Morpho landed directly on my lens, offering an amazing close-up view. A couple of Rice Paper butterflies also took a special interest in a womans red hair, staying there for a long time, adding a magical touch to the experience.

I just released a YouTube video: Toronto Islands in Winter: Otherworldly Landscape and Wildlife - ]https://youtu.be/wipR-y7M8C4]This is my first conscientious effort to incorporate my still images to drive traffic to my through a YouTube video. If you watch the video to the end, it almost becomes a slideshow. In any event, I am making decent money from selling prints because I can set the price and get more money from the sales.

I agree with what you said.
Since SS and P5 are all part of the Getty family, I wonder if I should also make my video clips exclusive.
On the other hand, I hesitate to leave Adobe. Even though I only have a small video portfolio with Adobe, I don't know if I should put all my video eggs in one basket. As we know, all empires would eventually fall.

Thanks for the comments.
After uploading to YouTube for over a year on a consistent basis, I realize the following:
1. Even if people are watching my videos, they may not subscribe. Even if they subscribe, they may not continue to watch.
2. Even if I eventually get over 1000 subscribers, 4000-hour watch time and start to monetize, the earnings are likely small and the monetization will cease if I stop contributing as required.
3. By linking my YouTube channel to my fine art pages, at least some people will take a look at my photos and find something that they like.
4. By linking my photo to my relevant video, people may be interested in the context and environment why and how the photo was taken.
5. Don't forget, FAA is the only place we have the control over pricing, though FAA offers promotional discounts from time to time.
Does it make sense?

I re-started my YouTube channel (charlinex5186) about 1.5 years ago. I only gained 800 subscribers. Not a success story. But I have made more by selling prints from FAA than selling RMs in Alamy I have sometimes provided a link from my YouTube page to my art prints site (charlinex.com through FAA). If people would like to buy my photo prints, they have the option. I also link some of my photos back to my YouTube channel. For instance, this is a video of Niagara Falls White Water Walk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwKUA1njmXwOn the description page, I post this: Please take a look at a collection of my photos of Niagara Falls: https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/charline?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=136683
I don't know if it will work. But cross-referencing won't hurt.

Making another post

Almay responded today.
The image is somewhat similar to another image. They are not identical. They were produced in 2010 before Alamy offered any exclusive content. Alamy did not say which version of the image that the "infringer" was using.
I have asked Alamy to do the following:
1. Remove the image from Alamy collection immediately.
2. Change my status to non-exclusive contributor immediately.
I would never have done this knowingly.

Thanks, Pete, I feel so honored! In addition to selling through FAA for prints, I only sell RM through Alamy and RF through Getty/IS. Both are exclusive. If my images are available through any other sites, they are absolutely not authorized. But before I was exclusive, I sold images through multiple agencies. Without knowing specifics, such as which images and where they were sold, I don't know how to correct the errors if there are any. By not even addressing me by name, and slapping US$250 without warning and specifics, does Alamy have any respect for its long-time contributors? That's so heavy-handed, unethical, and unfair. Is it even legal? I don't know why we deserve such contempt on top of the rate cuts and devaluation of our work. Do you know how I can contact any Alamy executives?
23
« on: February 01, 2025, 18:34 »
Maybe they want to get rid of the exclusive program?
24
« on: February 01, 2025, 15:49 »
That's interesting that they identified the image for you.
Why don't they tell me then?
I am still waiting to hear from the infringement team.
I will decide if I will change my exclusive status after I hear from Alamy.

Pete and Brasilnut, thank you very for your comments.
Have you noticed that the letter starts with "Hi there"? It doesn't even bother to address me. Talking about professionalism!
Even if you get a parking ticket, it specifies what the fine is for. You cannot just fine people without getting their side of the story. In particular, it is very possible that the images were stolen or sold before Alamy even started the exclusive program.
Alamy offers no transparency. It does not specify which image was duplicated and what it will do with the duplicate image.
I need to know because I want to disable (and remove) the images if there are indeed any duplicates to avoid future problems.
But Alamy does not say what it's going to do with the image other than grabbing the money. Why, because the money is there, they don't even have to investigate anything, just help themselves with the money in the trust.
It is very concerning.
I got an email from the support, which says that my email was forwarded to the infringement team.
Are there any UK authorities that can look into it?
