iStockPhoto.com / Re: Need Help Finding Image Pulled from iStock

Oh wait, I found similar images from the same shoot on ThinkStock, downloaded them and found the photographer's name in the metadata. Hurray! Sorry to bother you, but I may be asking for similar help in the next six months or so. Is this the correct place in the forum to post such things? Thanks again.

I saw that. If someone knows the photographer, maybe we can purchase it directly from them. It says it was shot in Alberta Canada if that gives any clues.

Also, just found another image we wanted to purchase was missing from iStock but available on Shutterstock. Thanks Goodness. It's scary that this is happening. It makes my job as a designer more difficult that it should be. Bummer.

The company I work for has already purchased thousands of credits before this announcement, so we have to use them up. We purchase at other sites as well so we don't get all our images from iStock, but we do get a lot of them there. I have started looking at other sites for images for the second half of the project because I suspect what we have so far will use up the credits by the end of the year.

Hi everyone, I am a buyer and seller at iStock. I personally don't know what I will do after this change occurs, but I want to know where we can find your images if you leave iStock. I work at a company that buys around $10,000+ iStock images a year and we select them months in advance. If we suddenly find an image missing on their site, what other sites will have them? Thanks!
