We would like to inform you that all contributors' portfolio are added in (opt in) by default.

Kindly let us know if you wish to Opt Out, kindly let us know, if you have
1. initially Opted In and wish to Opt out now, or
2. selected Opt Out from the beginning but still see the PLUS label on your contents.

I'll update this if/when they resolve it so people can see options.

123RF / Re: Is this the oldest refund ever
« on: April 19, 2022, 02:23 »
Over 20 refunds since april 12th and counting I guess.

I'm in this business since 2008 and never had many refunds but if they happened they occured most of the time with sales made by 123RF. Makes me wonder if their systems run well or are the 123RF clients so picky that they return files all the time? Is it easier to make a fraudulent purchase at 123RF?

Refunds for sales older that 6 months are unacceptable. No company allows you to return stuff after that time.

First a refund for 2018 showed up but yesterday I had a couple of refunds for 2009 and 2010.
Maybe their financial system was on hold and will it start adding earnings for earlier years as well?

123RF / Re: Sudden decrease in sales mid-October
« on: November 02, 2020, 05:17 »
Just for info... heard back from 123 when I enquired about this. This was there response.

"Thank you for contacting us.

We have been having some issues relating to the sales not syncing with the contributor accounts on time. Our IT Team has already been working on this ever since and it would take some time before the sales are all synced to the account's Earning details page.

Having said that, could you provide us with your account username please so we can have your account checked as well.

Looking forward to your response."
Looks like they are still working on that salessystem because sales of october are still coming in. Still nothing for the october 19th - 26th week. Anyone else with same "problem"?

Yes, no sales. I also had two entire batches rejected for "Poor composition". Never ever happened before. So either they've changed something or my skills have gone downhill.

Same here and a refund for a higher amount than the original sale.

With this cut in royalty for us the profit for them is growing. On paper and only shortterm. When their customers notice there isn't that much new stuff available and/or big portfolio's are gone at all, they will quit SS.

Whatever they SS does: we are the ones that are paying for it! I hope all of us deactivate their work or at least stop uploading there.

When I checked my "sales" this morning I noticed this: Increase your discoverability > Upload a profile photo: Very tempting to upload something else: A contributor lives matter avatar or something like that!

One of the side effects I've noticed is that I get more for EL and large SODs.

I believe the large SODs were previously $75. Now it's $96. We just need more of these to offset the sub losses.

I had SODs for all sorts of values - $32 to $120 (I think that was the highest) There isn't a fixed royalty on those, just a percentage of the buyer's price. Certainly, if there were more of them, if you're at 40% you could do better.

However, their enterprise sales (where all those nice fat royalties come from ) has been shrinking for the last two quarters and the "e-commerce" side is what's growing

I haven't seen EL's or SOD sales for months. Used to have 4-6 a month. I blamed it on the Corona and thought they will come back once the virus is gone.

What will happen with Shitterstock when we all stop uploading new stuff? I guess in some months the happy buyers will notice there is not much new stuff and might go elsewere and not extending their monthly packages etc. It might take some time and I hope a lot of contributors will stop uploading new stuff like me but the effect must be there!

It's one and the same company.

So be prepared for the same royalty cut we received from SS today...

We are making this adjustment in order to reflect changes in the market for creative content: We need more profit and we do not care about contributors
help to create fair opportunities for all our contributors: Like the communists did: you all get the same pay, close to zero.
and reward performance with greater earnings potential: A potential, like in a chance close to zero?

To the majority of the contributors it will take months to get back on the level they are now and then comes january again and they set you back to level one!

It's IStock 2.0 indeed where I got so many $.07 sales I decided to upload only older files there so what I upload today won't be at IStock till november or so. I'm thinking of doing the same with Shutterstock since it's not worth anymore.

By the way: I won't be surprised if we receive the same message from Bigstock anytime soon!

Why bother to login there? That agency is almost dead. No reviews, no sales and seems that their offices are empty as well....

« on: December 09, 2018, 04:46 »

it depends which license is purchased and which contributor level you have.

That is the problem: I used to be a 4/5 level but with their "we do not review and we do not promote our site" attitude they have brought that down to level 2....

123RF / Re: uploading

Uploading works but once uploaded it takes them months to review. I have dropped them an email asking them to review my files and Always that same excuse that they were "busy". Busy doing what? Working out other ways to cut down royalties?

Sales used to be good at 123 and I have uploaded the same port there as to other agencies. Sales are not even 10% of what they used to be and 0% compared to the other agencies.

Please check your emails and accounts: I received a message from Bigstock in a foreign language that emailaddress for account was changed and couldn't log in to my own account anymore.

Same here... I had a lot of rejections for "non commercial value" etc that were selling on other sites.

Thanks Franky,
I figured out how to edit the "needs revision" files. It turns out that my keywords are not valid... Why are words like "food", "yellow", "sweet"etc not valid?

This whole editting system on the ESP site is very time consuming and confusing. I guess I better wait till everything can be done in DM!

I've downloaded the latest version of DM. All the files I've send to the uploadqueue are back as "to upload"...
when I try to adjust the keywords it says "File already send to ESP, may no longer be edited".
Again, while uploading some files I see this AWS upload 404 not found message.
When you can no longer edit the files in DeepMeta, you can go to the ESP site and complete the uploads there.
I'm looking into the 404 errors. These seem to be related to bad network conditions, but I'm trying to avoid them all together.

Thanks for reporting!

on the ESP site I see the file ID, name and title and the Status: not submitted so cannot proces anything there

You should be able to click the "Submit" button at the ESP site, at the top right corner. If it's disabled, you probably need to complete some fields shown at the right, in red.

Thanks Franky.... that's the big green "new submission" button.

Before I hit the button, I had one batch: 2 uploaded, 0 submiited
After the button: 0 uploaded, 0 submitted.....

Submission date: 2017-02-27  (No images)
No files are associated with this submission.

Looks like the green button works as a "Delete"button!

I found the needs revision message: where can we do that? Would be great if those files were send back to DM for a re-edit!

I recently had a photo rejected for being "too offensive", it was my 5 month old male dog standing on his back leggs so you could see it is a male dog. Very pornographic  :) :) :)

Uploading with DM today: nothing but errors:
AwS upload 404 notfound

error 422 422 keywords: requires a minimum of 5 keywords (mine have 20-40 each)

What's going on? Will all failed files be set back to their batches?

iStockPhoto.com / Royalty Statement Clarification
« on: February 24, 2017, 18:28 »
Just received a Royalty Statement Clarification email from Getty images... It looks like there are another couple of adjustments are coming:

Zero royalty rate percentage transactions
In preparation for the move to the new royalties systems, we ran several months of test transactions in the live environment. In a small number of cases, we were not able to remove all these test transactions. A small number of cases... looked like all of them were in my statement!

Increased Tax
As you can see in your statement, we track and identify the country or region for each reported sale. US transactions normally account for 50% of transactions but we are seeing an issue where all credit pack sales were reported as originating in the US.
US source transactions are subject to withholding tax, depending on your country of residence. This resulted in incorrect tax withholding for these transactions... Sure, it must be hard to develop some simple software to figure this out on time!

Summary
We are working to solve these issues for future transactions, and to identify every contributor and transaction that was affected by each issue so we can recalculate and repay any royalties owed...
So should we look forward to some extra pennies or are they going to take another big chunk of our royalty?

All these graphs and statements are a mess. I cannot figure out how much money I made in january since also sales from november/december show up.
don'
Did they hire the same bookkeepers as "The Donald" did? The ones that don't want to publish clear figures. It's a disaster, total disaster!

iStockPhoto.com / Re: ESP
« on: February 22, 2017, 03:06 »
Finally...I have acces to the royalties... Graphs everywhere. Who wants that?

I downloaded the PDF file, hoping to get some details of the files sold. It shows 20 pages of data, also a lot of sales that were made in 2016.
When checking them I noticed the Thinkstock partner sales.

For those of you worried about the .02 sales, it can be worse: there's some Thinkstock subscription plan that shows .00 sales....

All I want is a simple list with sales: which file for what amount and when it was sold. I don't care where it was sold, as long that it was sold and for how much.

If they can't even manage to make a simple report to their contributors I wonder how their IRS files look!

Payments are not impacted and will arrive according to our normal schedule.

Just wondering what their "Normal Schedule" is. Everything that had to do with this whole ESP transformation was at least delayed for a week so I do not expect to receive a payment this week.... if there is any payment due, that's still the question.

Still nothing here....
