MARCH? Well that's BS as some of us are required to have our taxes FILED by March 15th.

Update: Got my husband's. I have yet to receive an email regarding mine. If I use his link and log into my account, I get the empty box.

In truth I'm not sure why I care - my accountant doesn't seem to care if we have the 1099s or not. Must be my being anal with documents showing through.

And yes, it all gets lumped into one amount like Sean said.

Edit: I've figured it out. Apparently my husband is the main person for Tortoise Productions (really? Is that why his title is VP?) and the dollar amount on the 1099 is for his earnings, my earnings and both of our earnings from Pond - or at least the amount is "close" to what I have recorded for last year. Within 5 dollars or so...

If the person, who has my 1099 from Dreamstime, happens to see this: Could you, please, send it to me? I file as a S-Corp and that's due March 15th and apparently Dreamstime is not making this happen.

Thanks!
The problem is there's no knowing if anything with your name on it is actually correct. I conversed with the person who received my 1099 (she sleuthed the name) and her address was right, my name was right, the TIN number and dollar amount didn't match either one of us. I'm dropping my S Corp taxes off with my accountant on Monday and hoping for the best even though I don't have a 1099 from Dreamstime.
Adobe sent it correctly.
Shutterstock provided it electronically.
Getty provided it electronically.
Dreamstime .... wrong info and now a no show. Here's hoping they get their act together at some point. (Yeah, yeah, I know - I'll receive the 1099 on the 16th of March)

Oh it's a big cock up. I was alerted by another DT member about a week ago that they had received a 1099 with my husband's name (we both have accounts). The TIN wasn't that of our company - or hers for that matter. She didn't divulge the $ amount but I'm guessing it was wildly off. Today I received 2 1099s from DT - one with my husband's account name on it, the other with my account name on it. 2 different names and 2 different TINs/SS #s. I didn't bother checking $ amounts cause I already know the 1099 is invalid and I'll end up destroying them.

Hopefully no one will be badly affected by this breach and we'll all get our 1099s in a timely manner. The clock is ticking for us S Corporations - tax due date for us is March 15th!

As for the person commenting they thought DT didn't send out tax info for under $600, I believe they are required to send one out for any amount - no matter how small.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock "Contributor Fund"

I usually don't mind extra payments - but I don't like how this "Contributor Fund" is being done. That said: Keep an eye on your totals ... their math is little off, at least in my case.

On my husband's account it's just the opposite: .61+1.84+1.64 = $4.09 in my world of math, not $4.10 like in theirs.

Oh good. I've been freaking out for a few hours thinking someone hacked my account - wasn't seeing any info here, on Facebook or Twitter from SS and isitdownrightnow.com was reporting everything being AOK.

I know - breathe - work on more images - breathe.... :)

(and the zero amount is probably cause you had a payout in the past few days)

I just had two images of Grey Wolves feeding at a White-tail Deer Carcass (uploaded in 2018) removed. Apparently blood and gore - however natural - is offensive now.

And I have no recourse to argue it.

Your loss Dreamstime - the other 2 sites that have them will get the benefits I guess.

Bigstock.com / Bigstock Login Error?
« on: July 31, 2020, 14:26 »
Anyone else having trouble logging in to Bigstock today? I have been getting a "406 Not Acceptable" error all morning.

I'm not getting any response from anyone on the Shutterstock forums and no response to either "chat' with Bigstock or emailing support.

Thanks - HK

5 minutes later - Nevermind - just started working again

Dreamstime.com / Dreamstime changing my titles?
« on: October 14, 2016, 10:00 »
Has anyone else had this happen? I've been on Dreamstime for 11 years and dutifully entering descriptive, non-spam titles. I also track sales quite obsessively using said titles to find the images in my database. Every once in a while, on Dreamstime only, I'll not be able to find a image in the database. Eventually I discover the reason is because someone at Dreamstime has changed the title. Usually the change isn't anything dramatic or terrible, but it stills irks me that someone has the authority to change a title without ever telling me it was being done!

An example from today:
Original title: Baby Black Bear (Ursus americanus) Against Grey
Changed title: Baby Black Bear Grey Backgrd

I searched both here and on Dreamstime's forums and found no one else has complained about this, so maybe it's just me. But the above change was made on an image in my husband's account and title changes happen in my own account just as often.

Anyone?

Thanks - Holly
