I am having the same issue. uninstalling the child theme and the symbiostock theme kills all my customizations, and I am still not able to upload images.

Normally I use linux, so lightroom upload won't  work. I will have to see if digikam can upload to WP.

Is there a way to  integrate the symbiostock networking as a plugin to my regular WP website?

I really like the idea of Symbiostock, and I have set up a site at www.alanklughammer/stock. Unfortunately, I think my host is a reseller of godaddy, so the network features don't seem to work.
Is there any way to work around this issue? Moving my sites is not really an option, and I would rather not have yet another expense to deal with....
