Can someone please explain me the utility of TIFF files these agencies offer?

I'm not a contributor..but after a research i think it works something like this: Contributors upload in JPG and agencies convert it in TIFF. (correct me if I'm wrong)

If i'm right: we all know that TIFF is designed to save-export and not lose much quality as JPG do.

So if you made a TIFF from JPG you'll get the same quality, only with greater size in MB. Therefore have no sense!

I leave the word to the experts!

Prices are already low enough, 1$ for any usage it's a shame,these agencies are ruining photography's field. Boycott Fotolia now and DPC will burn out accordingly.

Don't worry it's a survey method (scam), youtube have 0 like,comments on website are generated by accomplices.There are no real software that you can download after survey is done.It's a system used to earn a few pennies for each survey is done.

Apparently the answer is that their other plans compense this losses, and not everyone spends all their 25 download per day,unless it dosen't works like fotolia which unused downloads roll over to the next mont.

I can not understand how "Per-Day Subscription" payment working.

Example:

The max is 0,38 per image download to Contributors
1 year Subscription cost 2559 USD

25 download everyday X 12 months = 9000 download. 0,38 per download X 9000 download = 3420 USD

ST earned 2559
Contributors payout 3420

This is impossible..so where is my mistake?
