Pond5 / Re: Pond5 - Stocksubmitter : Upload timeout errors« on: April 05, 2025, 05:14 »
Crazy, even after almost 2-3 months still keep getting issues on Pond5. The following is what I now get even though I'm using chrome and have tried disabling extensions, using incognito etc
It's amazing that this is not getting fixed and I now have a huge backlog of submissions on Pond5 5
MicrostockSubmitter / Re: Ongoing issues with Pond5 : Stock Submitter« on: February 22, 2025, 06:32 »
I agree, MS has been amazing. Just the Pond5 issue has now resulted in a massive backlog of files for submission.

MicrostockSubmitter / Re: Ongoing issues with Pond5 : Stock Submitter« on: February 18, 2025, 08:58 »The obvious question - have you contacted StockSubmitter about the problem?? Couple of times and they've been working on it but it seems like the solution doesn't work consistently. It worked for a week or so some 1 month back. What is M+? Stock Submitter has been getting people to solve a captcha some 25 times. I did it but somehow even after that nothing is getting submitted. Absolutely agree about agencies putting stupid security measures in this day and age where AI can even keyword and describe the images. Guess they are yet to upgrade the contributor side systems. 7
MicrostockSubmitter / Ongoing issues with Pond5 : Stock Submitter« on: February 16, 2025, 06:19 »
Hi All
It's been almost 3 months with persistent issues of submitting on Pond5 using Stock Submitter. Has anyone figured out a way around this? Currently Stocksubmitter will tell me that I need to pass the captcha. However the browser window that it used to display in the past for login does not show up at all so not sure where to pass the captcha. Please help, there is now a massive pileup of videos for Pond5 8

Most manufacturers know our weak points, they've all been pushing new launches in the last few months. From 7 Artisans to Sigma. Better glass, cheaper glass. Hopefully the new Sony body gives us some more to talk about 10

With Christmas and all coming I'm sure we are all planning some bit of gifting to ourselves with all the sweet sweet moolah that stock has made us (silently cries in the corner)
Share it here and give ideas to the group. My list is - Sony 50mm f1.8 lens - mini smoke machine - need to figure which one - DSLR gimbal, mostly leaning towards the Zhiyun Weebill Sent from my SM-G996B using Tapatalk 16

Not sure how many Stocksubmitter users are left here. For the past few months I've been struggling to upload photos using Stock Submitter on Pond5. Usually it gives me a "The server has timed out" kind of error and won't upload the file. Does anyone have some advise or suggestions to correct this.

Guess we are in the summer slump already, or maybe its just me. Lower than even half of last month where a few big sales pushed it almost to 3 digits.

One strange change for me is that the homepage of the app has stopped updating. It used to show what files were accepted/rejected and also at one point the first time a file sold. Now all it says is "start here to track progress"

As always the question comes down to what we should be doing instead. And unfortunately most of us don't have an alternative figured out yet. So it of habit and compulsion we'll keep sending to stock

General Stock Discussion / Re: Whatever happened to Yuri Arcurs?« on: November 19, 2023, 22:07 »Yuri gave great examples of how he works, how they do their research and how extensive and authentic the post production is. Yup, remember learning from a lot of his tips when i had started. He had a free keyworder as well online, plus his commitment to making an amazingly efficient process was otherworldly. I remember some shoot he did to capture some aircraft where he had a ton of flashes pointed at a flying plane to get it lit just right. 23

Was just going through some old stuff on microstock and came across some vidoes detailing the works and life of Yuri. Whatever happened to him after his apparent departure from microstock? I remember him having a site called people images or soemthing?

Adobe Stock / Missions for Adobe Stock - Images for AI training« on: August 30, 2023, 01:16 »
Adobe just sent out a mail for uploading images to training their AI datasets. No key wording or relases needed
Sharing the mail below We are reaching out to let you know that weve enabled a new feature in the Contributor portal to allow some selected contributors to submit content datasets for training Adobes AI and machine learning tools. The new portal feature is called Missions. Our goal is to acquire large volumes of images for specific topics which are explained in the Missions Content brief and for which we pay a fixed amount as published on the Missions tab. To allow for an easy submission process, we dont require keywording or post processing for these datasets. Neither do we require releases, because we are currently only sourcing content that has no recognizable people or property. Check out the new Missions feature in the contributor portal and we hope this is of interest to you to participate. If you have questions, please reach out to [email protected]. Regards, The Adobe Stock Artist Relations team 25
