So if I have an element half on the artboard and half out of it, what will do your script?
Will it cut the part out and let the part in?

Yes, it will cut only the part out. You can see there how it works:

Personally I select all on the artboard, then "inverse" selection and delete
Unfortunately if you select all on the artboard, external items touching artboard boundary, will be selected. So such items should be deleted manually.

There are a few scripts like this available already. One of them (the most common one I think) is Vector Stock Helper 2.0. It checks the file for everything that's not allowed and exports the eps and preview jpg.

Vector Stock Helper only checks the file but doesn't crop.

My script crops automatically vector illustration and I can't find similar utility.

Hi friends.

A few weeks ago I found out how much time my friends (who are microstockers) spend to prepare vector illustrations for sales on microstock. I have programmer skill and I wanted to help them to save time. As a result I created my first script for Adobe Illustrator. The script automatically deletes paths and shapes outside Artboard, while not affecting artwork inside artboard.

I want to know: do illustrators need this script? May be I should optimize it for better using?

Besides do you want to get any other script for optimizing your work? May be I can make it ? :)

I will be glad for any opinion and information.
