well well. too many unexpected sales yesterday (one buyer took 23 subs), so punishment today: no sales for 10 hours. happens only on weekend to have 0 at this time of day.

Look at part of a glassdoor review (from April 2017) of a departed software engineer

this is exactly how i see SS IT team from outside. last week, they were unaware that the images weren't indexed for 32 hours. they reacted only when a contributor told them.

Deymos.HR's scripts are here:

https://gist.github.com/deymosD/

Shutterstock.EnhanceDashboard.user.js - allows moving (and temporarily removing) divs on the dashboard and lists 10 most recent sales (no earnings anymore, sadly)
Shutterstock.NewEarnings.user.js - fixes earnings table
Shutterstock.FixKeywords.user.js - enables copy/paste of keywords.

easily modifiable. :)

i agree with everything mb wrote. my experience can back every claim he makes.

would it be possible for you to comment on my histogram i posted on the third page of this thread? is it of any relevance and can anything be deduced from it?

i agree with mb.

for the last few months i have tracked times at which i got sales using a javascript published earlier at ss forums. i have data for 3386 sales in saved in that period and i am attaching the histogram: x-axis shows times between sales in 5 minutes periods and y-axis shows number of sales. there are peaks at 3 and 4 hour gaps between sales that i frequently observe. every day i get a few of 2 or 3 hour gaps between sales. i'm not a data expert; can anyone who is conclude anything from this distribution? it seems to me that 200+ minute gaps should decrease, but they increase in this chart...

Shutterstock.com / Re: November and December Drop in sales
« on: December 22, 2016, 08:09 »
november and december are the worst since 2011. with close to 6k images, i've never seen such a huge drop overnight. now by 8pm i have what i had by noon. sales come every 2 hours. my friends who've been on ss since 2010 and 2006 see the same pattern. 6-10k pics in their ports, selling up to 20 a day now.

some new contributors that we referred, with small ports, sell close to our numbers.

another friend with ~6k sees no change (joined later).

for me, december was traditionally good month (BME Dec 2014). august was worst. this year, Dec worst by far, august almost BME. makes no sense.

now, my port is obviously dying. has anyone ever tried to revive a port by uploading more? seems like a waste of time right now. i get 20+ images a day approved  lately, nothing sells.
