Well I can't remember the last time I got an image rejection. I think everything just gets through these days.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Quantity vs quality
« on: February 26, 2017, 14:14 »
Quality is a much more complicated term than it appears! What is quality? Is it Coca-Cola,McDonald's,Burger King,Domino's or CNN!!!

Yes, if you are drinking a coca-cola in McDonald's while watching CNN  :)
Perfect quality combination!

I love your sarcasm.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Shutterstock sales are bad.
« on: February 17, 2017, 06:52 »
The new earnings page is horrible to visualize sales.
Very inefficient as you have to click and scroll multiple times just to see what have you sold each day.
And not listed in order of upload, so you can't easily see which new files are selling.

Paypal doesn't use real time, so you can take advantage when your currency is falling a lot during the day but you still get the old (better) exchange rate. This way I sometimes end up paying only 1.6/1.8% instead of 2.5%. Other alternative is to spend directly in USD on websites, I often use paypal to pay for accommodation.

Made payout for the first time a few days ago. Not sure if I should cash out or leave it there and let it keep accumulating.

I guess I'll cash out because the USD went up significantly. Another sale: now it's $99.91.

I was stuck at $99.xx for a whole month. Hopefully you'll see payout next month.

Thanks, I finally reached payout.

I have been hanging at $99.40 for over two months, and today I made it over $100.00.  I cashed out immediately.  Whew!  I finally made it.  Good luck to every one else who is close to a payout.
Same here, stuck at $99.xx for months.

No PP fees in Russia too, but unfortunately all earnings are automatically converted into Russian roubles at PP's internal rate which is significantly lower than the official one, so I get about 5% less after all :(

If you set USD as the main currency, you can probably keep the money in USD and convert to RUB at any time when it's a reasonable rate. Paypal also only changes the rate daily, so you can use that to your advantage - for example, when I see USD/PLN going down 1% on the day, I would convert and only pay ~2% instead of the usual ~3% conversion fee.

Stopped uploading there long ago and never looked back. Just my 2 cents.

My July was awful, August and September are reasonable but not that great.

Check now. My images are back almost the same. #1 shot is back in #1 - the rest are close.

Yeah it's normal now.

Absolutely stone dead. For weeks I have been hanging at $98 which makes me unable to withdraw my money. I never upload anymore now.

Same here - stuck at $92 for weeks.

With the change my bestsellers were pushed below while my ex-bestsellers revived.
Plus a EL yesterday and 2 giant SOD's today... can't complain, will start uploading more often again.
I'm already better in August than entire July 2016 which was a disastrous month.

It's very accurate but only for photos, not footage. Not sure what % of sales means.

It's just not a sustainable business model for contributors... I'm still uploading a couple images every week, but my focus and energy are in other areas that are much more interesting financially speaking.

Pixel, this forum is a leftist stronghold devoid of any logic and common sense. Can't have a rational discussion with social justice warriors. BLM is an anti-white terrorist organization sponsored by Soros and praised by Obama and the media. Another racist attack just occurred in Tennessee, whites targeted.

Popular search is still ok but "new" is a complete disaster.

Buyers are surely getting fed up with so much low quality spam content.

Employment rate is 58% so yes 42% of the working age population (16-64) is not working.
Obviously it doesn't mean 42% unemployment. But in 2008 the employment rate was at 64%.

Therefore, more than 14 million people stopped working since 2008.
But somehow the official unemployment rate is the same as it was 8 years ago.

If you believe the real unemployment is 5% you are very naive. Good debate though.

Yes it's competitive in a few sectors of the economy that happens to hire very few people.
You cannot have a 300 million population country based on technology sector.

By the way Boeing just fired more than 4,500 workers.
Unemployment is getting higher and higher, poverty is going up very quickly. It's not working.

There are not enough jobs that require qualification, and no environment encouraging small businesses.
People are sick and tired of cronyism and that's why they're flocking to Trump and Sanders.

When did I say Trump was a libertarian? Of course he isn't. Now look at US data, there is a giant unemployment and vast majority of new jobs being created don't require qualification (waiters, bartenders) while new high paying jobs for qualificated people are minimal. You can't compare the free market US during the 1800's with a globalized world. Free market today is impossible because you cannot compete with chinese wages. US will never be competitive unless it becomes a third world country - it's well on it's way though.

And yes goods would cost more, but US currently has the cheapest electronics in the world. It's a small price to pay for more jobs in the economy and less people on food stamps. What we have today is not working for anybody except for the elite. Anyway, I don't think Trump could ever "make america great again" because it's broken beyond repair. I just don't want to see another war close to me... and while Sanders would be a disaster for the US he wouldn't force government change so I'd also vote for him anytime over the establishment.

Cruz was pro-amnesty as a senator and now wants to build a wall. How can anyone believe him, especially being sponsored by Goldman Sachs? He's owned and will do what he's told to do, just like Bush and Obama. What's needed is a smart libertarian government. But we don't have many realistic options now have we?

Trump understands economy more than all the others combined, his 35% tax on foreign goods from specific countries would create millions of jobs for anybody who's willing to work. His crackdown on illegal immigration would benefit lower class citizens more than anyone else. Only the free-crap army won't like it.
