let me refraze it

i have pictures (i am a photographer) and i think about adding text to them to people that don't have the power or ability to make text on pictures
for example happy birthday and act

now my question is about the use of fonts for selling my pictures

Hey people, i got some nice backgrounds, i tought about putting some text over them

1. is places like shutter accept concept pictures for example " Happy Birthday " and a picture of a cacke?

2. what about fonts copyrights? can i use sepsific fonts for my pictures? is there some without copy rights?

what do u think?

4
hey guys i am tring to make stop motion 4k video from stills images

dose someone know how sony vegas work and help me with few questions about exporting and setting up the project?

5
well i don't agree about the travel pictures, it's been proven by my portfolio, that most of the highest earners for me on my collection and trough my agent collection of my pics, the most sold and profit pictures is my travel ones and even the banalic ones

6
well i asume that most of the people here dose not live in places that 3000USD can make u live like a king

i didnt want to get into anybodys pocket but it seems that all the posts about loss of income and all the replys of i have great sales and make a living out of it dose not sit hand in hand

thats why i opened this post, didnt want people to share there portfolio (copy cats) and no what there most sold image and not wher do they sell them

just want to understand whos making real money these days from microstock and think if its a fantasy or real deal

7
so forum is just a talk, if all agree that to make a living from micro stock means you have to have tousends of sales every month

8
if you feel more comfitable we could change the subject for who make more then 3K a month from stock wich should be the minimume income for living

9
haha i wish :) i mean everybody saying they are making the time of there life, but at the same breath you everybody says its going down hill all over

10
For me with 350 images and videos (90%/10%) monthly revenues are about 80-100$

11
It seems that everybody is in the same put hole, but everybody talk about it in graphs and percents

We all know the micro stock industry is getting harder

1. Too many sites
2. Low costs
3. Even lower revenues
4. Increase of contributors and images on daily bases

If you could summer your income for 2013/2014

What is your monthly income in average per your portfolio?

Does not matter how many sites you are in just want to know how all of us finish the month

well after keywording the pictures on a word file, it dose not really matter for me if i upload it to 5 or 10 sites, it's just few more minutes of work, i don't resubmit stuff rejected for stupid reasons just don't have time to handle the rejction absord these days

im in the swamp so lets stay and see what can we do in it, like i said il keep the fire but won't burn my self for it

well my clients are top prioerty, i do stock on the weekend and spare time

when i do test shots for models i make my stock on the way

i wanted to give it a try, i guess i will take the leg off the gass and just upload stuff that gets on my way, i really didnt mean to get rich out of it, just make etra 1-2k a month after building a good portfolio over 1-2 years

guess il let this year end and make statistics on the end

just tougth i am missing more sites, or quantity or quality

sales keeping slow well just started 4 months ago

up to now i got 250-350 pictures and 20 clips, review of 4 months

DT - 22 sold
Alamy - 1 in first day i joined lol
IS - only approved 50% of my stuff but got -4 sales up to now
Veer + CanStock + pond5 - 1 sale
Canva - joined just few days ago - 1 sale
Shutter, going very good 2-3 sales a day in avrage - best seller but 0.28 * X dose not get my far
RF123 - 10 sales

left bigstock photo and YAY

any ideas how to generate more income? tyred 3 art photos on FineArtAmerica tough i will give it a try

17
can u elaborate more? the only one that got me more then 2$ in sales is alamy as u said and it was only once:)

18
MR Cat, what sites do you sell?, it seems that most of them earns from 0.28$-2$ eather way lets take the higher end 2$ per image you need at least 1500 images sold per month to have a normal income

for now i got 400 images on 8 microstock sites, they sell but like everybody say for cents

19
what about the bad sides?  280 $ = 1000 sales a month of 0.28cent if u want to earn a decent sallary you need 10k sales a month i don't know what about you but with 100 sales from 400 images a month 100$ wont do much here
