Canva / Re: Canva July sales are in, and it's not good

The least they could do is give us Canva Pro for being a contributor. At least Adobe has enough respect to offer contributors their software.

Canva / Re: Canva now pays 0.6 Cent pr license!
« on: February 22, 2023, 05:58 »
It's frustrating for sure! This is the email I received from Canva support back in December, when I questioned about how many downloads I saw on the Dashboard view vs how little I was earning. They haven't reviewed any of my work since then either, it's just sitting in the queue. Not sure what is going on with them...

"Thanks for patiently waiting!

I know this can be confusing. If you take a look at our Royalties Guide, it shows that even though your exports may have grown, your earnings are affected by the royalty pool for that month.

Each month, a fixed percentage of revenue derived from Canva Pro subscriptions is set aside for both the Templates & Elements royalty pool. Based on the usage level of your templates and/or elements for the month against the rest of the participants of the pool, you will then receive your share of earnings as royalties, from either the Templates or Elements royalty pool or both.

As the revenue derived from the Canva Pro subscriptions varies each month, this, in turn, means the royalties you receive can also vary each month, even when the level of usage for your templates or elements increases/decreases/remains consistent compared to last month.

It is also important to know that exports do not equate to earnings. A rise (or fall) in exports does not mean your earnings will rise (or fall) by the same amount. There are many factors that go into calculating your earnings as explained in the Royalty guide.

We certainly understand the inconvenience and frustration the slow review time causes. We are extremely sorry as the elements in the queue remain unreviewed for quite some time now. Due to the high volume, we could not review all elements on time. However, be assured that we are taking additional steps to reduce the turnaround time.

We would like to ask for your patience and understanding at this point."

How would you like stock photography platforms to handle the uploading of AI-generated content?

Should there be a difference between completely-AI-generated content, and AI-assisted content in which there is substantial human work and editing involved?

If AI-generated content is allowed, should royalties and earnings of the AI-generated content be shared with human creators? If so, what share would be appropriate?

Canva has issues with it's regular/human created contributor content. I don't see how the large number of exports listed on my dashboard (a few thousand a month) is fairly compensated for with the extremely low payments I received. I read about the royalty pool and such but this seems way unbalanced and there is no transparency. I have written to support about the issue but no one seems to be able to talk about contributor payment. I signed up to be able license and sell my work, not give it away in mass quantities to people who download it then resell it on Etsy.

Adobe Stock / Re: PNG files on Adobestock - Some Questions
« on: September 28, 2022, 18:17 »
Is there anyway to crop and save a PNG file so it has no transparent container/box(like a circle is just a circle, not a circle inside a transparent box)?
I'm trying to use PNGs as web buttons and the transparent box surrounding the image is being registered. If I create a link it will be active as soon the cursor hits a transparent area of the container, before it hits the actual graphic I want to use as a button.

Adobe Stock / Linking Adobe Stock to Behance
« on: July 11, 2022, 13:46 »
Is there a way to share an Adobe Stock asset to a Behance portfolio, so the viewer could license the work directly or click a link that directs to the Adobe Stock page?

There is no greater feeling than selling your art for .35!
