haven't had a sale in six days now. I've got to try and add some people photos when I can. I was told by support to try and add more variety to my port.
I ordered a new lenses for camera a 25mm 1.8 prime to hopefully take better pictures.before my 14-42 lenses just wasn't doing the job the quality just wasn't there.

Thanks for the  info .It's confusing sometime others telling u no u need more and some saying u have plenty as long as they are relevant . I just try and go with my own gut instinct.
Sometime I put maybe 7 other times I will put 30 or so.

so the # of k words doesn't matter? I was told by fellow contributors veterans it does. I've always felt relevance was more important .

according to the poll results here to our right,

IS exclusive 138.8   vs SS 91.7 (and sinking)
does it mean that IS is doing much better than SS???

if so, IS is still not doing badly. just wondering. perharps exclusives can tune us in on that.
(thx in advance)
what subjects do u shoot? thanks

about Istock,I have a question. Can someone tell me why I can't find what images have sold on my port. I've sold some and on my port it doesn't show views or DL.
I'm trying to find out so I can concentrate on what to upload.

Thanks

Hi,
Would u mind if I look at your port, and how to find it?
Thanks,

speaking of staying with istock. If I do decide to stay with them after joining in July
I'm not getting any views on my port a total of around 10 on 250 images that's it. I don't get it,they want more contributors and their stuff but there is no buyers to view them. :-\
Nobody is getting many views. Apparently it's something to do with only views by logged in buyers counting. What I find much more worrying is that those logged in buyers seem to be buying a lot less of my work. Views are nice but there are no $$ for them.
Also, if yours is the PF that I think it is, then with all due respect, I think you need to have a think about what you are shooting. There are an awful lot of fairly easily found isolated objects already there, and more being uploaded daily. Those shots are unlikely to generate many DLs these days IMHO.

ya,I agree with u on my port.  definitely need to re think my shooting.

A higher quality lenses

thanks,I appreciate the feedback. Most of the images I sell are isolated things on white. Most all of my photos that I upload get's rejected now since they are getting more technical. It's about 50/50 for sales between illust and photos. I'm in the process of getting a new and better lenses for my camera so maybe some more of my photos will be better and get accepted.

19
I think my port is pretty simple and easy and that's why I don't get  a lot of sales.

I'm not a professional photographer like a lot of u. I'm retired from my job in manufacturing. I don't do this year round I have other things in the fire that I do to make extra .

20
thanks, that's it. sorry I for got to put the g in there.

21
r u using google? I can get on it everytime I try

22
I meant to say as of lately I try and upload one or two photos on average a day. I have close to 1100 images. I've started to keyword more as of lately also.

my port is shutterstock.com/gbcimages

23
Yes I had the guys over at SS look at my port .They suggested I keyword more and I started key wording more. Just don't seem to be getting very many gallery views. maybe someone can look at my port from here.     Maybe I'm in the wrong business ! shutterstock.com./gbcimages

I have never had two payouts in a year. Of course my port isn't that popular I guess.
I try and create new stuff and upload at least one or two photos a day on average.
The problem with my port is I don't shoot people. That seems to be the most popular
target. I've been with SS since 2007 and  there is no change in sales always three to five sales a week. My port doesn't get found gets lost in the maze of others. I finally got a payout the other day and that will probably be the last one until next year sometime unless buyers find my port more often. KINDA DISCOURAGING!
