Hey guys and gals,

today I received this email from iStock Content Team:

"Dear iStock Member,
The content is not suitable for our broad Royalty Free license; the reason given was: This content has been deactivated due to copyright, trademark or other third party rights depicted therein. In order to protect you, our customers and iStock we have removed this image. For more information, please see our Intellectual Property Wiki at:  http://wiki.gettyimages.com/
iStock Content Team"

They did give me a file number that was deactivated but no link or at least a print screen of an image that was deactivated. I feel like iStock now is trying to keep us in the dark as much as possible about everything. So f**king annoying!

If anybody knows a way of how to find an image that was deactivated, it would really help. Maybe it's nothing special and the image was not making me any money but at least I will know. Here is the number of an image 3146721

Thank you!

Sean, love your portfolio! Do you think it's even worth bothering with it. Just wondering how does it compare to micro stock money wise. I'm assuming the more you upload the better are the chances of someone buying it. Thanks!

Hey guys and gals,

Have any of you heard of snapwire. It's not nesseserily micro stock material but very similar concept. Kinda reminds me of stocksy style wise. Businesses request photos and you can upload your work upon their request and get pretty good chunk of money for it. I'm a total newbie with this site but it caught my interest. Have you had experience with that? Would love to hear your take on it. Thanks!

no sales here

I could't agree more. It is total nightmare. What . happened? Did all the buyers get scared away? I hope it will pick up soon. Barely any sales for me since the change.

Good thing I am not the only one here who have bad sales in August. Bad thing, The numbers started dropping at the end of July and I hardly sell 3 images/a day. And that's on a good day. What is going on with iStock lately??? So frustrating! Almost daily I upload close to a dozen of images and and keep my head in the game but yeah...it's been a frustrating month for me as well.
