So your vote is NO...we dont want 78% We'd like to be ripped off instead. Thats your public stand?

22% of 1 million dollars a day is 220k per day. Don't think its unsustainable. But a dedicated server costs $4500 per month or maybe they will have to write that off on taxes.

What do staff cost per day...look this site needs support.

Im serious here, stop crying about the small details and start supporting this thing.

You are being influenced by people that dont even have an account on stocktal. They are just random drop ins and probably the same person with 10 different accounts.

Mobilize this thing ! IGNORE THE WAFFLERS !

I WANT 78% not 30 cents in dollar

If I were an editor I'd be doing my darnedest to make sure I didn't let someone like you in, even if the quality and subject matter of your photos was exactly what I was looking for. Manners matter. You're not doing yourself any favors.

Do you think they would still let me in?? I only said a few things :(

If you notice, the only 'innovation' and 'thinking out of the box' is a number that is quite 'unsustainable'.  A royalty percentage is not all there is, as Joanne says.

This site...stocktal...is the justice we need to change everything. It forces other dictators into line and if it doesn't...it makes sense. 78%

You are negative about everything except for stocksy. Don't know why you're here on this thread trying to shut this honest approach down (not that you ever could)

I will keep supporting it.

a: I am not Bruce, and 2: the person posted their portfolio, and while they were certainly free to apply with it, I didn't think they'd be approved with it.  Oh, and C: I have nothing to do with the application process.

I'm starting to think this weird fascination is just a hobby of yours or something.

How can it be a hobby? Im here full time.

Approve our stuff, and thank you !

Shirt lifting is a hobby what you do is whine at people for no reason

Ubermensch, looks like you try to do some kind of black PR against Stocksy, but there is no ground to develop this, because Stocksy pays one of the best commissions, there are great friendly and positive people, and a huge amount of creativity. Finally I hope nobody has put a gun to your forehead and to oblige you to go in Stocksy :)

No, was just commenting on how stocksy can just reject us "poor losers" on the fly like that. Seems fair to at least allow the proper apply, reject process privately on the site. Did brucey really need to publicly reject that tog?

But let me ask you something Deyan my dear friend, if you have to pay bills and the world has a gun to your head, pay or die, would you accept this shoddy treatment from some rich wanker, offering everything but delivering nothing?

they make you advertise for them?? WOW classy

isnt bruce already mega rich in the first place?? why wud he need to tap his contributors to get air space...freaking weird.

Why are you so angry at Stocksy that you feel the need to bump as many old threads as possible?

And no, they don't actually force anyone to spam their Facebook friends.

Do I sound anggry? haha HELL YES IM ANGRY.

are they really promising to share profits? why dont they just give 90% or whatever upfront? Why this game of "sharing at end of year" Sounds like a corporate trick.

And that guy is already mega rich...how many gold tipped, ivory back scratches does he need to afford?

he should be giving back to photographers, not taking from them, he is ASKING US to spend OUR MONEY to advertise for him?? OUTRAGEOUS!!!

Hi everybody!
Two words to introduce me: I'm a photojournalist, 50 years old, my market was destroyed and a couple of years ago I started the business of microstock without too much involvement. For me it is a matter of photographic language, that is too simplified in microstock. I have discovered Stocksy, and
before apply I spent half day to see hundreds of images uploaded in it. Then I have applied in few minutes with 30 pictures stocked in only one of my HDD, I mean without looking for the best of the best of my portfolio. The reason is that I can see creative difference comparing microstock agencies and Stocksy, but not qualitative. Most part of the pictures offered by Stocksy are ordinary pictures, and was not clear for me what kind of style, matters, technical and so on was the right one for the application. I opted for "random selection". My website (for ever under construction) is . Now, I don't understand the reason why Stocksy is capturing the attention of the customers, but I hope that will grow, also if I will be rejected, increasing quality.

That was my opinion. I looked at the trend of images "approved" and thought my stuff was 10 times better than some of those images, but not a single response to my account approval request.

its like they dont take me seriously, like my work is so bad, they wont even bother to respond. I have 1200 images on SS and istock so i dont know why my exclusives dont make it on stocksy. They surely are bewildering.

she also said that all images had to have categories, more than a week after you said they were no longer being used!

Not sure what the issue is. If you're payng attention to their coms, you will know categories are important to listings. Its how I make MONEY with them. Your account, your choices. Seems clear to me that categories are pretty important. This dude is patient as hell with people lol, so funny

No problem for me: lifestyle photos and social media promotion, 0 out of 2.
If I did both, obviously I'd have to consider it seriously.

I would consider them anyway.  I just got accepted and do not shoot lifestyle nor am I particularly active on social media.   :)

I was led to believe that the social media thing was very important. I'm on Fb more than I care to admit, but none of my Fb friends has any need of stock photos. If I started advertising, I'd soon have 0 Fb friends.

I honestly dont know...its been 3 go arounds now...hmmmph

Actually you know what really matters?

Your self esteem as an artist and creator.

This rejection nonsense is haphazard. Dont worry about it. I have been rejected from the best restaurants in Manhattan and it didnt bother me. In fact....the middle finger feels kinda good right now :D

Sorry, I don't think you'll be accepted with those images.  It's easy to go to the site to see the style they are looking for.

WOW an immediate rejection from some random poster on some forum. Stockpee must really know their stuff!!!

Kool, cool...so feminism is NOT feminism if photographed? got it

Im crazy about feminines :D

17
Yah...they dont do a thing...they just congeal pictures...if they get lucky an SE presents your work. Guarantee you most micro big earners go beyond the upload and wait bullcrap.

YOU GOTTA RUN PUPPIE

18
I think many look at it the wrong way. You need some good stock. You need it on a site that has "reach" Then you need to SELL that stock...not to an individual buyer, but to search engines....sheesh...im spelling it out and nobody has an ear.

19
Yes, I'm Bruce.  Come see my tattoos. :)

Im sure your tramp stamp of the butterfly looks lovely my friend.

BUT WHAT can you do for us...

20
Last two posts...I stand corrected...although doubt they could play a riff on the bass for a second. Good locke with your stupid site.

21
Well ... let's wait :(

Please go back to playing your bass.

Just trying to clarify...sean locke is bruce livingston right? Why the nonsense gameplaying?

Approve my sh*t b*tch.!!!

ahaha only joking...I saw this one picture n stocksy of this family sitting on the grass having a picnic, my it was so vivid, well cropped and artfully directed, the father was actually moooing half shaven and large belly.

why are so many people camping here after 4 months waiting for no sales? THEY ARE IN THE LOW EARNER CATEGORY ON MSG

Gonna go play my bass now in complete annoyance at this farce. You can delete my account, approbo414 right now not interested.

Do you read that Dreamstime and others? ? ? ? It's possible! Learn!

I don't even know what that comment meant??? What are you saying? speak english?

Sparking interest in images happens one image at a time, then you hit it good with some SE and then suddenly you can quit ur job, because you're making 50 bucks a day every day. Then you figure out how you did it and do it again.
