I have taken up a sub. My view is that it is a tad on the pricey side but I've enjoyed seeing it develop (for free) through its Beta phase and I enjoy using it - I like the elegant design and it actually saves me time looking at individual stock sites so there is some value there too. It is being updated/improved all the time so I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes over the next few months.

With its pricing it is a bit of a luxury but one I feel is a) worth doing to make my day better and b) happy to support an interesting project in development.

I'm unsure if my sub includes use of the mobile version too, I would think that would be fair to include as well.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: June statement is here
« on: July 21, 2017, 12:30 »
Most of the sales reported in the "June Statement" were actually from May. So my May suddenly became BME, but June was a disaster. Maybe my June sales will be repored on 20th August?

Anyone else?

Gary

Yes, thanks - I hadn't noticed but after reading your post now see from my latest statement (released 20 July, which I assumed was for June sales) actually includes a fair number of May sales, probably about a fifth overall. So maybe May was better than I thought - but my iStock statement charts don't seem to reflect this (ie, the June totals haven't changed since this latest statement). It might just be a case of all the labyrinthine sale figures filtering through at treacle-like pace?

I also notice that Microstockr Pro figures (great software by the way if you don't already use) seems to struggle with these figures, nothing has updated on it yet for iStock, perhaps it's just all so complex we're talking weeks (or even months) before some sort of true figures show up?

Had this email this week, maybe I'm being dim but unsure who they are? Does anyone contribute with them?

Mine seem to have dried up as suddenly as they started - are other people finding this or is it just me? Or wondering if perhaps they batch 'em up and pay out at the end of a week perhaps?

19 x $2 sales in last two days, mostly shots that rarely sell in the past

Oh and where's the can of chicken stock?

Ah yes, I need to shoot 'laughing stock' too

You from Essex - much maligned County - I've spent many happy hours in "the hoop" in the aforesaid village :D

I'm from Sussex but it did look rather nice, shame I was driving and couldn't sample the local ale!

Anyway, here's another - bit more subtle though :-)

...then this is the place to live.

I'm sure it will get rejected by all the sites I upload to because they'll say it's someone's original painting/artwork or something but I thought people might enjoy seeing this shot taken in a village in Essex...

Wow - I'm used to virtually no sales at CanStock, perhaps two dollars a month, despite a port of 500 files. But had four sales in one day this week and now a 'Distribution Regular' sale for a mighty $15.59! Very exciting...

New member, one post, praising dodgy agency. Hmmmmm
[/quote]

Well I am genuine, I've only just found this site and forum but I agree reading it back it does look a bit gushing! I've now looked around more and found those posts questioning Deposit which made my flesh crawl a bit - I've just had my 500th image accepted so now I'm not sure if I've made a big mistake. One thing I will say is that my rejections went from almost none from my first batch up to about 35% today - all a bit odd...

I'm primarily a seller but I do buy too and I have to say deposit looks like a good place to buy - easy, huge collection. At the moment is brand new site to me but I will definitely be using it in 2011 to buy images for my design business. As a seller I hope more people are thinking this too!  :)
