Hey all,

today I got an interesting email - it reads as follows:

Adrien Sion <adriens <at> plutoinstitute <dot> com>
Hi <name>,

Hope all is well!

I came across your LinkedIn profile and wanted to reach out with a consulting opportunity regarding your experience in image searching. We are collecting insights from experienced professionals to learn more about how professionals use image library service subscriptions (e.g. iStock by Getty, Adobe Stock, etc.) for image searching.

The project is a 10 minutes-long paid ($40) survey. We will never ask for sensitive work information - and you don't have to share anything you're uncomfortable with.

If you're interested, just let me know, and I will send you your online, anonymous, and secure survey link.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
Adrien Sion

plutoinstitute.com is a real link that leads to that site - I wouldn't have clicked if I hovered over and anything else appeared. Everything *seems* legit, although there is no communication about how I would be paid. My LinkedIn profile does mention shooting stock photos and a few stock sites. I'm wondering if anyone here has ever gotten a similar email? I'm leaning towards not doing it just to be safe.

I would choose Dreamstime next. They're still pretty decent for me.

This problem is getting worse. I just tried submitting a "batch" of 2 files, 3 different times with 3 different filenames, and none of them showed up any time.

where did they get these images for the "member library" anyway? is someone making a commission on those or are they just a bunch of assets the company owns themselves?
