... Maybe I'm just impatient  :D ...
I forgot to mention it took about 10 days for this issue to be resolved.

2
Igor, please, can you explain to me how you managed to succeed?

I had to wait for about 10 days. I believe it was friday when I had a chat with Adobe agent, explained the problem, provided screenshots, etc. They have replied a week later, asking me to provide them the "faulty" code, and then the next monday I have received an email with new code. I guess the weekends prolonged it, but either way, it was worth waiting

Make sure you give all the relevant information to support - let them know that you are an Adobe contributor, that you have problem redeeming the Bonus plan code and that you receive "country/region mismatch" error. Maybe this will help the agent sort this out for you. Good luck!

Same here: This code is from a country or region that does not match your Adobe ID.
same problem here:
This code is from a country or region that does not match your Adobe ID...

Vlado, Sofijab and anybody else with this issue:
Go to Adobe Help Center, accessible through CC Desktop App also, then click on chat balloon in lower right corner of your screen to start the chat with the bot. The bot will offer some useful links but not a solution for this issue so finally it will connect you with an Adobe agent. Let them know you have a "country/region problem". It will be resolved in few steps  :)

CuteArt's one is not older than the one on iStock. Comparing the file number to my Adobe files, I would say it was uploaded around late Dec 2022 - early Jan 2023.

I meant that CuteArt is older (submitted earlier) than the first two images I found (see my first post).

5
New contributors should experience extra checks for the first nnn uploads - that would avoid these portfolios of ripoff images

I agree with you on this.

Regarding the dollar image, iI you check alexandermils on Adobe and CreativePhotoCorner on iStock, I believe it is the same contributor, just using different names.

6
And if you search Adobe using the similar image function, you get another one, even older submission by CuteArt with fairly small port :) - https://stock.adobe.com/images/money-in-hand/555894561

I have found alexandermils, who must be the original author, with a photo from the same series: https://stock.adobe.com/images/closeup-of-woman-hands-counting-new-100-us-dollar-banknotes/212142588
But he is missing this popular item in his portfolio. Maybe it was rejected for being similar.

Hi,

Looking for such cases I came across someone who stole good parts of my portfolio.
Do you have any idea where to report it? I quickly searched for something, but found nothing concrete.

Hi Sebastian,
I guess Mat Hayward will see this post soon and provide you with an answer. There was an active e-mail address: contributor-support at adobe.com. Maybe you could get help there.

8
And so a random discovery became a mystery.  :)
If I could quote Agatha C. - "The impossible could not have happened, therefore the impossible must be possible in spite of appearances.

9
I will say, that from Adobe, similar doesn't always mean "the same" it could be too many similar style or subject images. You'll have to figure that out yourself. "Common subjects like flowers, pets, sunsets, and food are already heavily represented on Adobe Stock. New submissions for these categories are approved if they stand out and show the common subjects in unique ways."

I agree with that. I had my "similar" or in a rather free interpretation "not as good as others we already have..." rejections before. :) And I am OK with that. But I guess nobody likes seeing these pass by the reviewers.

10
I have guessed the same thing - must be the leftovers collectors, but still I am wondering how regular photos get rejected for "similar content" reason, while these pass.

Thanks, Uncle Pete. Ai would not generate a banknote with such quality and details.

11
Just starting a topic to draw your attention to this.

When you search something like "businessman hands dollars" both of these images appear on first page as relevant. However, they were submitted by two different contributors, one as a photo and the other one designated as AI image. The AI image has lower ID number, so it was uploaded earlier.

Image Sleuth / Re: Thief with 35k portfolio (photos) at Freepik

Report that right away at copyright @ freepik .com.
Also drop them a message on twitter or elsewhere.
I had experienced a slow response in the beginning - now I have the template for this DMCA emails, but it's time consuming anyway.
169k downloads is significant sum.

I already said I'm not after the money and that this revenue should be forwarded to charity funds (no matter if we're talking about pennies, 5$ of maybe K's). I have also said that I believe that there must be many more honest people affected by this scheme, not just me. And all we have is a right to submit these claims which are rarely even considered?!

As Jo Ann said, it is not hard to do - checking the new contributors and detecting frauds... But they do not want to do that, since they gain anyways. Maybe even more if they let fraudulent activity happen here and there.
Going after that money - it won't hurt them much, but I guess it would be something every lawyer would be keen to do.

And I found another one, and filed another DMCA.

So after serious twitting and emailing activity, I've got their response and the account is apparently down, but it'll take some time for images to actually disappear.
Really time-consuming and unnecessary tiring.

It's a bit annoying that it happened twice in less than two months so I guess he will be coming back and doing it again and this kind of activity is not doing anything good to the business industry we're all involved in. My guess is that it's some kind of scheme promoted across platforms with titles like "Earn 500$ a day by doing this thing" etc.. So check if you're making happy someone you don't know :)

And wouldn't it be fair that money earned by these crooked activities, be forwarded from banned accounts to a charity of choice or something...

General Stock Discussion / Freepik not taking DMCA seriously
« on: October 03, 2022, 07:23 »
I'm a stock contributor for a long time, over a decade, with 50k assets on all major platforms.
Two months ago, while searching the net for a specific plant latin name I came across one of my images which lead me to a Freepik platform, which I am not contributing to. This was a very shocking discovery. My image was published under someone else's name, and when I visited his portfolio page I discovered that all 1000 images published there were mine. His port consisted of my and only mine images. After contacting Freepik I was instructed to file a DMCA which took me a few hours to complete, with all the evidence, screenshots, publishing dates, EXIF data, etc... And they finally took him down, after two days.

Last friday I visited a business news site I am frequently visiting, and on the front page I saw one of my images, again with Freepik web address. I did a search and found it again. The same contributor, same username just added a number at the end. Same story again, 500 of my photos published under his name, downloads are pilling, and everyone is happy except me. I have sent them a DMCA again, with the evidence supporting my claim, but they are not replying third day in a row.
After a thorough investigation, I have discovered that he is downloading files from my Envato Elements portfolio and uploading them to Freepik. As a matter of fact, he is downloading mostly pictures featuring me and my wife. I wonder what kind of MR he is submitting there.
Envato guys instructed me to work this through on my own. it would be faster. But Freepik ignores me, and supports thievery.

Eventually, they will answer, I know. And take him down again for some time. I guess this is a win-win situation for them. Money stays in their account at the end.

I wrote all this to inform you about the scheme. I believe I am not the only one affected so check Freepik for your files.

I think they just don't care. It is more than obvious that everything in this port is a thievery. This guy is obviously there for easy money, but someone is getting rich even more and even easier.
ShadySue, thanks for providing those examples. I was to angry to investigate deeper into this portfolio.

There's a guy called KhoirCreative. He took one of my images, filtered it in PS or elsewhere, posted to SS and gained revenue for almost a year till i accidentally stumbled upon his portfolio. I have also recognized two images of another author and notified him immediately.
I have also written a message to SS support, but received only a generic reply. After contacting SS FB page, I was instructed to send DMCA notice, which I did - and it is a time unnecessary consuming process to complete - but no reply was given in a week. So I filed another report, and a week later stolen image was removed from thief's portfolio. Also, two images of a contributor I have contacted earlier were removed.
Final result - more than two weeks of writing e-mail and complaining, only to protect what's mine, and the thief is still there. His portfolio is not removed, they took down only reported images.
Check him out, maybe you are also bringing bread to someone else's table - https://www.shutterstock.com/g/Khoirillistration
