Shutterstock.com / Re: Pending and Reviewed Disappeared?
« on: March 29, 2022, 07:27 »
I have images reviewed as far back as 15 days now that still haven't shown up in my port.  :(
I start to doubt that this issue will really be fixed.

I got an email from SS today saying: "I've investigated this with our higher IT Division and they reported that currently, we are investigating a massive delay glitch in the recently approved content since we have several affected contributors. We apologize for this inconvenience and we are working with our dedicated tech teams to correct this issue to ensure that all the approved content can be published as soon as possible."

That's pretty much the same just rephrased answer  that Shutterstock 'experts' have been giving out for 2 weeks, but nothing changes. I gave up today and deleted and re-submitted the rest of the images that didn't show up. Now they have already been reviewed and are up in my port. Problem solved.

How to delete those approved but never show up images? They can't be found in catalog manager......

Go to your "reviewed" tab and look up the image ID. Then go to your catalog manager, open a random image and exchange the ID in the URL.

SMART!!!

Because of different model release for the same model, their images can't be sorted as "same model". But to some models in SS, it is obviously that those photos can't be taken in one day(beach, mountain, summer, winter, etc), but those can be in "same model" search+, I just want to know how to make it......

6 months? That's a long time to be holding stuff back from other sites, so I hope the wait is worth it.

I thought Sean said a week or two back that they were already starting to contact contributors, or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Edit: I just checked back this thread and can't see the post I was referring to. I'm sure I didn't imagine it, so maybe it was on a different thread somewhere?

You didn't imagine it. :) It's on page 4 of this topic.

Thanks @m00n, I missed it when I looked back.

From what is says, no news is good news, so I guess that's some consolation to hold onto.

@yanjf, sorry you weren't successful but do you mind sharing the time frame from submission to rejection email, just to give a rough idea?

First image was uploaded on Sept. 14, but the day before yesterday I started to upload those images to Shutterstock, approved and one of them been sold immeditately, because it is easy to delete them if stocksy approve my application. This morning, rejection email received...

rejection mail received, "After reviewing your work, we dont feel there is a fit at this time. "......

Do you mind me asking - did you submit a variety of image subjects i.e. people, landscape, food, etc or was it mostly of a single genre? And did you do some kind of desaturated look (the kind stocksy seems to have/prefer?

I uploaded 95 images, including people, landscape, animal, flower, etc (no food)
