I redeemed my code over four months ago and I still have that blue banner on my contributor portal. It's not a problem, but will it ever go away?

Mat, based on the qualifying requirements, seems like I did. I have contacted both Creative Cloud and contributor support, as they were sending me between themselves for answers. Nobody took the energy to look into this, although I sent both my contibutor number. It would have been helpful that somebody looks into it and say yay or nay. Maybe after all I didn't, who knows, but the threshold seems to be met.
You can check this to confirm yourself in the contributor portal. Go to the insights tab, click "my statistics" and select "downloads" from the dropdown menu. Set the date range Jan 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. How many total downloads did you have in 2020?

Well at least you got your code, no banner, no code, no clear CSR answer, just tossing me around. But I had that before with Adobe, it took over a year and several CSR's until I managed to recover my serial number for photoshop due to a blue screen death and email address change.

Actually there are 'only' 7,400 photos of Easter Islands on SS and 500 on Dreamstime. I wouldn't call too many of them a great photo, mostly snapshots. I have not seen a nice HDR or a long lens compression, maybe a few. People travel with expensive equipment (maybe), but they use it like point and shoot. Never mind and off-camera flash or at least an eTTL. There is certainly room for new photos.

I had a few rejected, I made the correction and most of them went through. They need an exact description of what the image describes. I have seen quite a few editorials on SS splashed with a vague description. Lately I upload mainly Editorials and takes a bit of exercise go get those descriptions right. I see an equal acceptance on SS-BS of images. I think it depends also on the theme of the photos, how many they have on file already and where is taken. Although I'm not sure if there is any cross-reference done of that in the reviewing process. Also if you slap a whole batch with the same description might be refused too, needs some variation even if it's the same event..

Because most of the forum members hide their identity and have no link to their portfolios I take everything what is said on this page with a huuuge grain of salt. There is no way to check the relations between the complainers and their actual work. People having few hundred snapshots in their portfolio are whining their heads off, nonsense.
I have 10,000 photos on Fotolia, so not just a few hundred snapshots, and I stopped uploading to iStock a long time ago. Because if someone wants just that photo of mine, with that model and so on and buys it on iStock instead of any other agency, I make half or even less than one third of what I'd get with, say, Fotolia or Pond5.
Every sale we get on iStock means a lot of money we didn't get from another agency. You know, 15% against 50% in some cases...
So screw them, I'm not their slave, working for them for a bowl of soup!
Also if we keep supporting them, other agencies may think "Oh, these stupid contributors are happy even with a 15% commission, let's decrease ours at least a bit."
I think I got your point there. As per my own analysis iStock/Thinkstock/Getty is producing on average the same sales $/image as Bigstock, Depositphotos, Canstock and 123RF. Where I see the difference though is the type of photos sold. Beside the top 50-80 photos of my port, the sales is quite different at each agency, probably catering to a different market uptake each of them. Every $100 payout is buying me gas to take me to new places and shoot more photos. Pulling my port from any agency is reducing my chances to those gas $$. At the end the more photographers pull their port from any site, the higher the sales goes for those who stay. For now it seems that the # of photos are not decreasing anywhere, any soon.

So far NIK works with the last free standing LR 6. Probably dxo will make it in such way so in its own favour only and they try to attract customers with it. Their software is weird I still prefer Adobe against DXO stuff.

That whole portfolio is just large series of similar images 50-100 per serie
strange this kind of folio come always from russia ukraine or country exussr....so strange.cheating to have profit is one of the basis of their economy i'm not surprised they apply this to micro stock.
Don't get pumped too much about the Russians, here is a guy from the good ol' US pumping out 65K of crap. https://www.shutterstock.com/g/trong%20nguyen. Any thoughts about that?

"Thank you for reaching out too us. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Our Contributors are in charge of what they upload to our website. There is no restriction for uploading similar images, as they may have some difference that we may not be able to view right away.
