General Stock Discussion / Capcut?
« on: March 12, 2024, 14:56 »
I found some of my videos on this app called "capcut" which apparently allows users to edit videos from their phone.

I have no idea if they have purchased any type of license to be able to do this on any of the platforms where I sell my videos (ss, pond, adobe...), but it strikes me that there is some type of license that allows them use the videos in perpetuity in a computer program.

Of course, I start to find my video on YouTube channels where users share it (after having downloaded them from "Capcut"...

Does the same happen to some of you?

This is excellent and very helpful, thanks! And congratulations!!

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Free Collection: Video Nominations
« on: October 14, 2022, 07:56 »
The eligible assets do not work well. Once you choose the videos you want to be considered, when you re-enter your portfolio, they appear deselected again.

I don't understand why Adobe spends time and resources on this instead of putting all its effort into what really matters: correcting the keyword ingestion system that wastes users thousands of hours.

Adobe Stock / Sales for pennies.
« on: July 19, 2022, 16:43 »
Adobe sales lately are only for a few dollars. It's a shame. I was hoping that this company would be different. I thought it was part of his philosophy to treat the collaborator with decency and respect.

Once again... I was wrong. It's crap, like all the rest.

Clearly among all the crap I prefer shutterstock, at least there I make more money, and they don't pretend to
be better people than the rest....

Yeah..  in hypocrisy adobe is the big champion.

greeting.

The user wastes too much time in ordering the keywords according to their order of importance. Before any other new modification Adobe should focus on solving this problem.

Shutterstock.com / Re: 0.25 USD per footage on SS
« on: June 30, 2021, 12:26 »
Leaving SS and deleting your entire port is a personal decision that depends on several factors, I respect the people who have considered that it was the best for them, but in no way can these people pretend to judge others based on their decisions . In my case, I still do quite well in SS, despite those 0.25 sales, I usually have sales for 12, 20, 22 dollars, even yesterday, two sales for 120, so, it would be silly to erase everything the time invested.
Greetings!

The month is not yet ended, and I have over 100 sales of footage at price 0.25 USD. What have I done wrong :)?

I try to focus only on the positive side of things: thanks to those multiple sales I am close to reaching level 5, I have never been able to before. On the other hand, I don't quite understand why, but all 0.25 sales are always from the same videos, sometimes the same video is sold 10 times for (0.25) on the same day. Strange! But who gives a shi_t.

I found some of my work on VideoHive by another author but not sure if it's legal (derivative work), copyright infringement or just plain stolen?

Dude, what are your doubts?
He is a tremendous thief, make a complaint, if the original work in shutterstock is yours.

I also received the email and I think this is very good news ALSO for the collaborators. Greetings!

New Sites - General / Re: New stock site
« on: January 11, 2021, 11:19 »
I wish you the best of luck with this project you are starting, and don't be put off by the ruthless criticism.
Good year!

We are in the process of developing a brand new stock site it will be called Piemags and will have a very simple upload process, all we will need are images with captions and our software will do the rest, no more keywording! this is the first public message anywhere about Piemags, so far 100K has been invested so we are planning on giving the big boys a run for their money but looking after the contributor, this is taken from our about us page.

As Piemags would not exist without its contributors, our philosophy is to treat them with the recognition they deserve and offer an excellent rate of commission. Our commission will start at 50% BUT our goal is for this to increase to 75% in the contributors' favour! Consumer or contributor give us a try you will not be disappointed.

We are at the initial stage of taking on contributors so fire off an email to [email protected] to show any interest and if you would like to be onboard from an early stage, completely free nothing to lose by joining us and coming along for the ride.

Depending on interest we will post further public information but at the moment we are just trying to get a feel for any interest.

We look forward to your emails and thoughts in the messages here..........

P.S. We will also be taking footage  :)

Adobe Stock / Modify keywords
« on: June 30, 2020, 13:27 »
Hello, sorry for my English. Is there a way to be able to modify keywords in bulk, I mean, all at the same time, without having to do it one by one?
Because I have some videos that have words that I want to modify and I'm going crazy.
Thank you.

I don't know about you, but in my case I was making very good money this week, with around 10 sales a day, and suddenly everything stopped. Suspiciously coincides with the release of this great news ... A real shame, because among all sites always consider SS as the best, the most respectful of the collaborator, the fairest and, until now, the one who paid the best!
We will see how the next week goes, but it is curious to think how a bad decision by some stupid new CEO can throw years of reputation in a company to hell.

Adobe Stock / Re: Preview Option for footage?
« on: November 04, 2019, 11:49 »
Hi Adobe team!
I can't find anymore the option to preview the footage, have you taken it out?

It was extremely useful. Because sometimes the image does not allow you to identify what video it is, in order to be able to incorporate keywords and send it for review.
Regards.

I believe you can preview the video during submission by clicking an icon in the upper right corner of the keywords/title section of the screen. Not sure, though.

I think it's not there anymore ...

I was going to write a long post addressing all the issues here and justifying myself for my actions and decided to delete it all.

The key point I would like to make is that: If you find what I write of value, great - keep reading and contribute to win/win situations. If you don't, don't bother or better yet, create something of value to share with the world. It's that simple.

I run a business, not a charity and in a running a business I have intangible costs, including time, which I dedicate with all my heart to creating valuable content to share freely without a paywall, YT revenue or annoying ads.

I don't often write here, but this time I wanted to do it to make it clear that there are many of us who read you silently and value your effort and dedication in sharing your experiences with others. Please do not let a couple of stupid (probably jealous of your success) discourage you.
Greetings from Argentina!

VideoBlocks / Re: Storyblocks closing the Marketplace section
« on: August 08, 2019, 07:58 »
I have about 7000 videos with them. Hundreds of hours thrown away. Storyblock and its CEOS ended up being a cheap and unscrupulous crap.

« on: June 15, 2019, 08:18 »
Looks like the SS guys are experiencing some serious problems with their FTP for foootage.

I receive the same error permanently:

We can not read what's in your file. Please re-save or re-export your file, and try uploading it again.

I stop asking about this. Just waiting.. at least one year. Hope this feature will be available soon.

I did not know that there was already a thread about this previously. Well ... we have a new one!

Adobe Stock / Preview Thumbnail on Videos in Adobe Stock.
« on: May 11, 2019, 06:28 »
Dear Adobe Staff, is it possible to change the Preview Thumbnail on Videos?
It often happens to me that the image selected by default does not favor the content of the video at all.
Thank you!
