Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock just became iStock 2.0

I was really shocked to wake up to SS's email this morning. All our hard work building up our portfolios with the hope of increasing sales is just a waste of time now and this company is totally robbing us contributors now. They make us feel like ants going nowhere...

Hi I really like this site but I am getting this today "Server error
An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details." Is anyone else having trouble?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Alamy - is it worth it?

I think Alamy is great - I find the uploading and keywording system very good compared to say Getty, which is horrendous and I enjoy uploading to Alamy. I also find the payout average to downloads is the best of all stock sites and I wish I had more sales per month - of course.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Uploads to AS

Don't know if there is a better way, but if you sort your portfolio by date (on the dashboard) each page will show 100 items.
If you click on a photo, you will see some details, including upload date. So looking at the details of the last photo on the third page this will show you if you already have 300 images accepted this year (I guess that's what the question is about... 8) )

Thanks dirkr - that makes sense - and yes that's why :). I had a year's free plan last year and it was such a bonus. I am almost there again.

General Stock Discussion / Uploads to AS
« on: August 25, 2019, 22:18 »
Hi I was wondering how you can tell how many items you have uploaded since the beginning of the year without counting each one please?

Why u upload there? Don't get it

Because it's number four for sales for me. I find it's the worst site ever to upload to. I guess if you look at the overall picture it averages out but I was disgusted to see the .05c sales which are just a joke really. I'll give it another couple of months and see what happens. I only discovered the individual photo commissions I received after downloading the Microstockr app. Which would be brilliant if it had Alamy and Adobe Stock as well.

I discovered yesterday that a few of my images had been bought with my commission being .05c. That has to be a new low and just a token for the photographer and shocking behaviour from Getty  >:(

General Stock Discussion / 123RF
« on: June 17, 2019, 21:37 »
How do you get 123RF to review your pending content? I have emailed several times requesting it be done and they always reply that there is a large backlog etc etc and months later, nothing. And yet they are happily promoting their site. It's really frustrating and unprofessional.

I have about 250 images waiting to be reviewed. They are the most shocking of all sites I contribute to. I emailed to ask when my first ones would be reviewed and they did them then nothing since. I think there is one person reviewing and he's taken a year's leave!
