General Stock Discussion / Re: October Earnings
« on: November 02, 2013, 00:03 »
Does anyone actually know what they made on Istock yet?  I still show no sales after the 25th of October, but I know I made sales.

+1, no sales report after the 25th of October.

Adobe Stock / Re: Is Fotolia dying? Or what happens?
« on: October 16, 2013, 12:31 »

This sounds like a very logical argument.  Unfortunately, Fotolia actually punishes success by pushing emerald and above portfolios way down in the searches and promoting smaller, newer ports.

The reason for this, it has been speculated, is that they keep a much higher % of the sales of low ranked contribs, so they are saving a LOT of money by promoting them over more established and larger portfolios.

I am emerald, sales way down, lost 80% sales within two years.

Add me to the group.  Sales are running around 30% up for July, but money is roughly 50% down.

Same here. Worst month I've had in a long time! >:(

I am a Emerald member.
Sales down 80%.

7 day rank from 120 down to 1600.

Fotolia is Dead for me!

In fact, I have been steadily uploading like clockwork for pretty much four years, and my earnings charts for FT (and DT) look like a steady climb up a mountain, then all of a sudden falling into a valley a few months ago.

Same here.

They are not telling us the truth!

General Stock Discussion / Re: Sudden drop at FT?
« on: March 22, 2012, 16:11 »
I'm emerald and haven't noticed anything different this week.  I think if it went much lower at FT I would give up bothering to upload there!!

+1 on both counts.  Would love to see a best match change if it would mean my sales would pick up to where they used to be.

+1 on both.
SALES WAY DOWN !!!

Adobe Stock / Re: fotolia is sinking
« on: June 08, 2011, 20:50 »
Except the past couple of weeks, I always upload a steady stream of around 30-40 pics a week. Have been doing that for 6 years.  So when there's a shift to older or newer files, I don't really see much change in income.  Just a redistribution.

FWIW, my newer files are mostly sitting undownloaded and don't even have a lot of views.  Most sales I am seeing are of older files.   This seems to jibe with what Phelby is reporting from the German forums.

I do think there is an element of dropping emeralds in the search.  I know its anecdotal, and if any emerald contributor is experiencing growth I would like to be proven wrong.

Same thing here!!

They offer 50% until they become enough big to sell their subscription plan again. This is for attracting new contributors. I won't forget those dudes from StockXpert starting to sell our extended licence at sub prices. No one live on 14 sales a month.

Btw spamming is bad

What's you mean "spamming", I am telling the truth.
Yes "No one live on 14 sales a month", but most new site with no sales after one year.
11 sales on one month is extremely well for a new site !!!

As a new Microstock website( 3 month old), Stockfresh,  doing extremely well.
I had 11 sales on August, 3 sales this month so far. they offer 50% commission.
StockXpert come back alive.

They have IT team, and marketing skills.
We have Photos, Illustrations, Video, Audio, Flash.

If they are willing do something to help us, and also help themself, to reform the new site into a new "share holding macro+micro agency" for photographers,  Stockfresh will be a huge success in no time.

« on: September 07, 2010, 16:24 »
Personally, I think it would be a good idea for EVERYONE who doesn't like these changes to stop uploading to IS completely until our concerns are addressed.  These numbers need to at least be attainable and not pulled from the realm of fantasy.

We should stop uploading to IS completely !!  We need several leaders from the big players.   Maybe a union!!

Dreamstime.com / Re: Less sales, but even less subs
« on: July 12, 2010, 19:47 »
I have totally lost faith on them!

A. lot of subs.
B. massive rejections.
C. perhaps the longest waiting time to review images.
D. revenue down 62% compare to Feb 2009, with large Portfolio and continue uploading.

Joined the 4 site, IS, SS, FL, DT, at same time, sales and revenue are at the same level untill Feb 2009.
Now Dreamstime is way behind IS, SS and FL, and getting worse.
