I can't figure Lightburner out but I really want to.
1) First time I uploaded through Prostockmaster after keywording. It failed the upload so some images were sent, others weren't. This is obviously a big problem if you don't know which image failed because if you resend the whole batch, you get duplicates straight to your agencies. So I removed the images one at a time, put them all back to upload and it worked - every image went. No idea what caused the glitch "file was invalid" or something.
2) I decided to bite the bullet and upload directly after it failed another batch. So I tried to put the info into cuteftp to do sftp and no way no how would it work. I downloaded filezilla ONLY for lightburner and it works.
3) Now, my images are all uploaded properly to Lightburner and they say they're assigned ... but nothing has sent to an agency and it's been like 4 hours.
What on Earth am I doing wrong?!
(I have sent a message to support. I thought someone may be able to help me faster.)

I know this won't relate specifically to most micro photographers who do their work, upload and just sell through sites but if you have your own site, this may be helpful info to you. Google has made a few BIG changes in how they rank sites and I wrote a post about it on my (non-micro) blog. http://photoseo.info/seo-tips/google-why-do-you-vex-us-so/Anyhoo - hope it helps.

I can't believe I pasted in the wrong image! ROFLROFLROFL I'm an idiot and it's late and it's tax week. I love my life. The second picture here was rejected for "similar" to the first. You know - a whole loaf of bread on a cutting board vs. one serving on a plate closeup. I dunno, didn't strike me as similar. I'm a big believer in the LONG tail. 28 sales, $50 in 2 years on 3000 images - that's NO tail. Time to lose this site - I closed up just a few mins ago. They were doing better and then decided to change and be more like everyone else - let's see subscriptions and start rejecting a lot of stuff, let's tighten the collection, change the site like everyone else has, modernize... Good job, you became Crestock. I need to go learn iStock so I can make an extra $0.50 a month to make up for the loss of this site.

I can't FTP to 123RF right now - been trying for about an hour or so. Tried through FTP, tried through Cushy.
Getting a timeout or something - it won't connect. May be related to the issue with pay? I'm not sure - but it's not working.
Just grabbed the FTP error:
The control connection was closed due to the server being temporarily busy, full, or in the process of shutting down. Retry again later or contact the system administrator for assistance. Click Details>> to see the exact server response.
Password rejected too. But it's right.

Ok, so maybe I've just not paid enough attention to the forums for the last 2 months. I just got a payment from Veer - but I haven't received my final payout from Snap yet.
The payment came from VMP so I'm assuming it's my July payout from Veer NOT my final Snap? When do final Snap payments come in? Also, we can't track stats yet but we're making sales on VMP? Pretty cool actually.

I just wanted to be first to say that word on MSG since the site won't be out until "later today." I have 100 beta invites to a brand new site if anyone is interested...or at least I will once the site comes out. Something about my blog brings these type of sites to me! So if anyone is looking to add #120382038 to your list, I'm your man ... in about 12 hours. (If you NEVER are going to sign up for a new site again ever, just block this forum in your profile...) Oh - for the record I'm not affiliated with PixelFetch, I think they're in England? Let me google this phone number... Yes, UK. +44 is the country code... At any rate, will let you know when it's live. Thought I'd get a jump on this now.

So Sarah's idea the other day was to do a vet with pet shoot. Somewhere along the line the dog started acting up. You know those moments that are captured in cam but have nothing to do with what actually happens? We got two. I laughed SO HARD when I saw these!!

Who . do they think they're trying to be now?
I had maybe 1 rejection in 2400 uploads. I had two last week and another two the batch before that. I'm hearing rumors that they're starting to "limit" everything. Limiting illustrations to under $10 (don't we set our own prices anymore?!) Limiting fractals, limit this, limit that.
Exactly who bought FeaturePics that we haven't heard about yet because this is crap coming from them.
So we no longer choose what to sell and we no longer choose how much we can sell it for? Nice "changes" coming.

Dear SnapVillage Contributor,
As a contributor you know how fast microstock is growing. So do we! Corbis anticipates that within the next few years, microstock photography will represent more than 25% of the overall stock photography market. We are committed to taking a significant share of this market and providing photographers a leading brand and website to reach customers looking for affordable, quality photography and a great web experience.
We have learned a lot from SnapVillage, and we recognize that as the market has rapidly evolved over the past two years, we need a bigger, better offering to achieve success in microstock.
So today were excited to be sharing our plans to roll SnapVillage into a new microstock offering on Veer, which Corbis acquired in 2007. Veer is a highly successful stock agency specializing in creative rights managed (RM) and royalty free (RF). It has a large, established, global customer base, strong brand loyalty and an industry-leading website supported by winning marketing campaigns. These elements provide an ideal platform to rapidly build our microstock business and to help you sell more. We plan to build on SnapVillages assets to launch a new microstock-specific section at Veer called Veer Marketplace.
What does this mean for SnapVillage?
In the months ahead, well be inviting SnapVillage contributors and customers to Veer Marketplace. Once Veer Marketplace is launched and fully operational, it will become Corbis only microstock brand and SnapVillage will be phased out by the end of the year.
What does this mean for you?
Good news! In the months ahead, well be inviting SnapVillage contributors and customers to Veer Marketplace. Marketplace will offer contributors efficient uploading capabilities, a great user experience and your work will be showcased and marketed within the amazing award-winning design and community for which Veer is recognized. (There will also be other good stuff too but we cant reveal all our secrets before launch!).
When does Veer Marketplace launch? Veer Marketplace will launch in two phases with a small sampling of affordable images that can be purchased a la carte in late February, followed by a full launch mid year with contributor upload capabilities and credit-based pricing and subscriptions. You can read more details about this in the attached FAQ.
It will take time to complete this process so please bear with us. By mid-year youll have the chance to sell your work to a whole new crowd of people and become part of the Veer community.
Questions? Want to learn more about Veer? Wondering if there is anything you need to do? Please read the Contributor FAQ to learn more about Veer Marketplace.
We also invite you to join the conversation about Veer Marketplace. Wed love to hear from you so register and create a profile to make sure as Veer Marketplace grows, we continue to meet your needs.
Please dont hesitate to contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
We want to thank you for your support of SnapVillage. Were looking forward to your potential participation at Veer Marketplace!

I just posted about the new ThinkTank StreetWalker on my blog but what do you guys think about this?! The bag is in between sizes - sort of a "medium" bag to go along with the Accelleration (huge) and the small Urban Surprise type bags.
The StreetWalker HD looks perfect for me. Check out the images on NiltoMil and comment what you think - I'll continue the discussion on it here or there - doesn't matter.

What step in the process do you get hung up on? What slows you down the most? I started an upload at 6:30pm tonight and 6.5 hrs later it's 30% done!! That's a LONG freaking upload. I'm going to have another HUGE batch done before that gets uploaded. So where do you get hung up? Not shooting enough? Can't edit fast enough? Avoid keywording? Where is your stumbling block?
