Editorial to Commercial Upgrade
When licensing media, the content you choose from can be cleared for either Editorial or Commercial usage. Commercial use indicates that the content should be used for your own (or your clients or companys) benefit, such as advertising, promotional, or merchandising uses. Editorial use implies non-advertising use in published articles, non-commercial films or documentaries, news reports, or textbooks. Such as, content that is newsworthy or of general public interest and not cleared for advertising, promotional, merchandising or any other commercial uses. A good guideline is that using the asset for illustrative or educational purposes is likely editorial use. However, if the content you have chosen does not suit the needs of your production there may be an option to upgrade it to the usage you need. We offer two types of clearances for Editorial content, Commercial Use without 3rd Party Indemnification and Commercial Use with 3rd Party Indemnification. Option 1: Commercial Use without 3rd Party Indemnification This license waives the Commercial use of Editorial restriction in our standard Content License Agreement. The cost of this license is the clip price + $750 USD. Option 2: Commercial Use with 3rd Party Indemnification This license waives the Commercial use of Editorial restriction in our standard Content License Agreement as well as offers indemnification for any 3rd parties (people, places, or things) included in the clip. The cost of this is usually upwards of clip price + $2,500 USD; however, the final quote will be contingent on the information provided below. 6

General Stock Discussion / How much do models pay?« on: September 17, 2022, 03:48 »
I shoot videos for stock (but photographers have the same problem). And we all perfectly understand that in order to be successful on stocks, you need to shoot many different models. These are people who need an approach and who need to be paid all the time. How is work with models organized, how do you negotiate, how do you find models and how much do you pay them?
