Veer / Veer/Snapvillage royalties
« on: June 10, 2009, 13:34 »
I have a couple of questions regarding royalties in regards to Veer & SV.  Hopefully someone can provide an answer...

1) What is going to happen to the royalties earned on SV?
    a) will they be folded into Veer?
    b) will Veer sales be reported and folded back to SV?

2) In looking at my SV royalty detail for May, the detail adds up to a different larger number than what the summary is showing.  Were these sales Veer sales that were reported back to SV?

Thanks!

Mostphotos.com / Getting paid / PayPal issue
« on: February 08, 2009, 15:58 »
Hi,

I finally had a sale on MostPhotos!  WooHoo! :)

However, I'm having some difficulty with getting the payment.  I've been contacted a couple of times now by MostPhotos indicating that PayPal is not letting the payment go through.  The message they're getting is:

Quote
This recipient does not accept payments from non-U.S. PayPal accounts.

I'm at a loss as to what else needs to be done to my PayPal account to let this payment go through.  Anyone have any ideas as to what settings I need to look at?

Thanks!

Lighting / Paper or cloth for isolations
« on: August 17, 2008, 01:13 »
I've got a question about the backgrounds used for isolations.  I know that a lot of people like to use paper, and others use some type of plastic (vinyl, formica, etc).  Is there a clear cut advantage of using these materials over something like a high-key muslin?

I'm not talking about doing an isolation for small items, I've got that covered.  I'm thinking of something more like for full-length body shots, larger items, or items where it'd be easier to do the isolation in camera rather  than spending hours with the pen tool.

Thanks!

New Sites - General / StockRiot surprise
« on: May 11, 2008, 18:50 »
So I'm checking my stats last night across all the agencies I contribute to, and I get a page at StockRiot saying they're "adding some really cool hardware."

And there's this big pair of pliers above the message.  I blink, and realize that I'm looking at MY set of pliers.  Wow...first time I've spotted one of my shots in the wild.

Not sure how much longer it'll be there, though...

SnapVillage.com / Current review time
« on: April 16, 2008, 18:02 »
Yeah, another thread asking about review time...    ::)

I recently opened my account there, and I've got some images that have been pending for just about two weeks.  Just wondering if this is normal, or of something's gotten clogged and needs a visit from Mr. Plunger.
