Do customers who are creating 24fps videos (for example) only want 24 fps clips? Would they use a 30fps clip and accept the dropped frames? I tend to shoot in 30 or 60 but wondering if I should also include some 24 fps clips.

I did OK. Better than the last 2 months by about 15% but still not as good as the 2 months before that where I had 1 or 2 huge sales. I had 2 decent sales around $10 this month but its so discouraging to see the pile of $0.02 and $0.03 sales. I had 2 video sales for 3c each, makes me want to stop contributing video to istock (except there were also a few at around $3 as well).

any old timers who have been doing this for a while willing to share their early experiences with some of us newer contributors? curious about what it was like before digital and in the early days when digital cameras weren't great but the market was also unsaturated.

Is it normal to have never received anything from the "contributor fund?" I didn't even opt out of the data crap they're doing now and have a bunch of images in there. Most of my portfolio is on the younger side but I have some images in my port that are about 2 years old.

judging by the poll the main agencies are adobe, shutter and istock. if those were the 3 you were contributing to would you consider adding any more? personally i contributed some to pond5 and alamy and have exactly $0 to show for it so i gave up on those two. wondering if any of the smaller ones are gaining any traction to maybe try to diversify and see what happens.

I'm new to stock and have been uploading furiously lately. I was going through old folders of images looking for stuff that might sell. Images I maybe haven't used anywhere else that just sat there collecting dust on a hard drive. About two weeks ago I found 6 images from a series were downloaded. All the same day at the same price as "subscriptions." I was more than likely the same person because I rarely have more than 2 or 3 images sold in a day. The silly thing is they were all taken with a cell phone (and not one with a famous camera either). They were good images because they were at just about golden hour at a famous archaeological site in Greece but definitely not fine art quality or anything spectacular. One image was of a different subject near the site that also sold. Yesterday one more image from the series sold and today the remaining 3 also sold. Again, same price, "subscriptions." Every image from that day that I uploaded and was accepted by Adobe was bought by the mystery buyer. Thank you whoever you are, hope they come in handy. I'm surprised someone needed the entire series because several were extremely similar (just a tiny change in angle). The lesson for me is to upload more serial stuff and let the agencies and buyers decide what they need. Anyone else have experiences of selling multiples like this?

... and I'm pretty excited. It took months of effort but I learned a lot about shooting and editing. I also learned its near impossible to make any real money doing this but at least its fun.

So I looked up my handle on google and found images of mine being used on a chinese website. They were properly credited (as Getty istock images) but had anyone come across this website? Look up an image or 2 of yours, there are many on here. example of someone's image: https://www.huitu.com/photo/vcg/detail/000047577327.html
