Has anyone else been having vector illustrations rejected for the following reason at Shutterstock

Please decrease the size of your artwork (or move it) to fit within the artboard.

Do they really want a border around all illustrations? or is it just one of those blanket rejection reasons.

Illustration - General / Shutterstock rejection no bitmaps
« on: October 14, 2008, 04:26 »
Hi,

I just had a batch of illustrations rejected at Shutterstock for the following reason.

"No Bitmaps--Bitmap images are not permitted--please see the forum"

I couldn't find any obvious answers at the Shutterstock forum so I came here.

I had saved them as eps files (from Inkscape) and they had colour gradients in them (but NO opacity or blurs). However I have had quite a few batches with similar effects accepted without any problems at Shutterstock and Dreamstime.

Anyone got any ideas.

Thanx

I am not talking about high resolution flat scans but images where only part of the note is visible or the perspective has been changed.

I know British currency is not allowed as it has a copyright symbol on the actual banknote.

what about other major currencies euro? US$? Yen?

Thanx
