Lawrence, Kansas, December 12, 2012
A Kansas farm wife called the local phone company to report her telephone failed to ring when her friends called - and that on the few occasions, when it did ring, her dog always moaned right before the phone rang.
The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this psychic dog or senile lady. He climbed a telephone pole, hooked in his test set, and dialed the subscriber's house.
The phone didn't ring right away, but then the dog moaned and the telephone began to ring.
Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:
1. The dog was tied to the telephone system's ground wire with a steel chain and collar.
2. The wire connection to the ground rod was loose.
3. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current when the number was called.
4. After a couple of jolts, the dog would start moaning and then urinate.
5. The wet ground would complete the circuit, thus causing the phone to ring.
Which demonstrates that some problems CAN be fixed by pissing and moaning.

So in one of my welding classes, I finished all the projects for the class last week. I got bored and grabbed a box of Horseshoe nails (City Heads #6) and started doing some fine control practice on the T.I.G. process. When I had to weld the nail points, that was not easy to do without burning away the tips. TIGed with very small ER70S2 filler rod. Cell Phone pics are kinda crappy. My Tribal Tropical fish (or on it's side - a face with glasses and a mustache) The Tribal Fish, A Fish Bone Skeleton and a mock up for a spider. Ran out of Argon Gas before I could weld up the spider.

I have pretty much only been shooting editorial for a while and only throwing them to Alamy. I still pop in on SS forums and I see some people are showing off some of their Editorial shots in the forum. I am wondering if I should start putting some editorial over there (not doubling up what I have on Alamy) to maybe boost up sale a little. It took a good bit of time since I only concentrated on "A" but sales are starting to get a little slow on SS for me.

I finally moved into modern times and got a Droid based phone. Running Gingerbread version. Does Shutterstock and Alamy have apps that work on this? I know Alamy had the VM Release (something like that), where do you find that?
Any other useful Apps that maybe stock related. Already got some useful apps for welding so I am digging the new phone.
Thanks.

A buddy of mines Father has around 30 Classic V.W. Bugs and might drag out a few of them for me to do a photo session and practice Magazine style shots with. I was thinking about putting them as RM but who would the Property Release have to be signed by to be a legal P.R.?
Is it V.W. since it is their model or is it the Car owner since they restored and painted?
For reference, I am in the U.S.A.

Been a while since I posted on this subject. All the monies have been paid up and I go in 2 day to get my books ($530 for 4 of them). Just drove over today to handle some small stuff like parking pass and I.D. I go to school for my first day on Monday the 27th. Maybe I should have my mom give me a wake up call on that day. I bet she would like to hear the old phrase again... "Oh mom. Let me go back to sleep. But I don't wanna go to school today."

Just heard about this place so kind of checking it out right now. Anyone else heard of it.. on it... thoughts about it? Internet rumor mill seems to have this site as the place pros go to when leaving Flickr. Seems that you even get a Personal Store with the paid membership. As far as what they sell (prints or digital) I don't know yet. Might be something to check out if the store features a good cut of the percentage. Go more investigation to do on it to see if I want to roll on to there with anything. https://500px.com/upgrade

It will be pretty easy to spot... the only one on there with the Shutterstock watermarking. http://www.seodigita.com/?m=201202So, what would be my best course of action to make a little money? Go to shutterstock or hit the site myself?

I have been looking for something different than Adobe Products to work on my images. I think I finally found one software that satisfies me on that. I have Paintshop Pro X4 and so far I am liking it. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. My only problem with it so far is that I have use photoshop for years so I am used to where things are and how they are named. Those little things make it a little difficult to work until you learn. It does not have all the support of plugins that Photoshop has but I have not found those that necessary. The best thing is that X4 is only $99. Now I am off to go look up tricks and tips for it. Check it out for yourself http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1184951547051#versionTabview=tab1&tabview=tab0

Looks like I am going to have to break down and buy a new computer. The other day lightning caused a quick outage and I think it surged into the computer. If I reboot, when it comes to the logon screen... beeps repeatedly and very fast. After I log on, cannot move any desktop icons. Photoshop will not load any photos into it but Lightroom and (just installed to test) GIMP will load up normally. Wiped out PS and then the re installs fail. Got some other little annoying things happening. I think it is time to put my old hand built workhorse to rest now. 8 years old and been through many changes and virus wars. Time to move into more modern equipment. sigh

Just to let you know, I am buying Min Pin images on Big stock. I bought more than a few this week for the blog I am working on. If you have shots of Min Pins on BS, let me know so I can see if they are what I would need. If you had shots bought possibly by me and want to see them in use, www.minpinbreed.infoNow the site has hosting problems until I change host. Some people will get "cannot find server" or something like that. The site is also optimized for Firefox and I.E. 9. Safari and Chrome seems fine too. I.E. 8 and below does not show the sidebar menu. Anyways, let me see them puppies.. I mean Min Pins

I was packing for a business trip and my three year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said, 'Daddy, look at this' , and stuck out two of her fingers.
Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said ,'Daddy's gonna eat your fingers,' pretending to eat them.
I went back to packing, looked up again and my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face.
I said, 'What's wrong, honey?'
She replied,
'What happened to my booger?'

Do you think the Micros would take a shot of a sweet looking sprained ankle. Mine is bruising up nicely now. Maybe a Shot against white would do?

Well, I decided to take a look at it again after close to 2 years of doing nothing with my original store. Nothing better to do and the new email sign in to control multiple stores, I went ahead and named some new stores. Going to work on each store one at a time to get products up.
First one I am working on is a iPhone and iPad Skin Store. I set all stores to 19%.
I just wish I can put a header on the Zazzle store temple but no, they want me to know all this HTML Stuff just to remake the whole store. Ehhhh... not right now.
I still wished they allow you to put basic keywords and descriptions to images that auto import when you create a certain product. That's really the most annoying part to me.
