Shutterstock.com / The most stupid rejection....
« on: April 27, 2012, 16:15 »
Wow. Shutterstock guys had really good day.
Editorial image rejected just because the date was not in US standards (month first).

iStockPhoto.com / The NEW list of bugs
« on: January 05, 2012, 14:38 »

It looks impressive. Some of them are older than 12 months (pre F5 era?), some of them - caused by recent fixes - in very long 'recent bugs' list. The 'big db' supposed to be fixed yesterday but all stats seem to be broken again. How can we trust ANY of the numbers from IS (especially the RCs, downloads and balance)?
It upsets me a bit.

« on: December 11, 2011, 14:52 »
Hi xxxx

Thank you for contacting us.

The ASA changes in September now adds all non-excluisve contributor's content to the partner program sites.  It is no longer an optional program for non-exclusive members.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

iStockPhoto.com / sales @ iStock, Customer Service, Forum. ZONK.
« on: November 01, 2011, 04:52 »
Hi,

Last week I noticed that a number of my sales is valued much below the credit's price. OK, I can understand that bigger customers can get 20-30% off the credits' price. But finally I found 2 sales where 1 credit was valued below $.5... Not big deals, but tried to 'clarify' the situation.
What I have learnt: No response from the Customer Service - after a week my ticket is still open, no clear message from the Service via phone, topic moved from the forum to 'help' section.

What's going on?
Who can check their policies and prove that this missing part from my/our royalties is really a discount for the customer? If these bonuses are a 'science-fiction' what is the next step? I signed contributors agreement but did not agree to be robbed and cheated.

The tax forum in SS seems to be dead...
I would like to print out my payout receipts for my last financial year but I can't find them in SS contributor's panel.
Is it possible to find them anywhere?

Started the setup and... ZONK...
Norton gave me this message:
"A program was behaving suspiciously on your computer. This program was blocked and removed.
The file risk is high."
Anyone's using this software?

iStockPhoto.com / Random rejections?
« on: May 24, 2011, 05:03 »
Hi,

I noticed today, that IS rejected a few images from my last batch. Not too many, but - interesting thing - they were accepted almost everywhere - SS, FT, BS, DT, etc... Is this only my impression or inspectors use 'reject random' button too often?

General Stock Discussion / ImageSource
« on: January 18, 2011, 05:56 »
Hi,

I just found that my friends are customers of ImageSource.com stock site. Unfortunately I can't find anything about their numbers (sales, royalties, etc.). "Image Source is the world's leading independent producer" - anything more than that?

Shutterstock.com / SS - Single shot stats
« on: November 25, 2010, 02:05 »
Hi,

Unlike other sites SS has no sales statistics attached to individual photos (client's front end). I can't find them in the contributor's back-end either.
'The latest downloads' map gives me an idea which images are popular, but I would appreciate your suggestion as to where I can find the detailed stats. Thank you.

Hi,

Scouts from big stock agency rejected my images (taken in Auschwitz) with the info that they contain elements protected by Intellectual or Industrial property laws.

Could you please help me understand that in terms of 'laws breaking' - what was wrong, because I cannot find a reason why open, historical, public place can be copyrighted (World Heritage List in 1979 on the basis of criterion 6), and images uploaded (most of them) did not contain memorabilia or properties mentioned in this property law (contacted mentioned Museum and asked lawyer working in this 'area'.

So where is the problem? Is the rejection just internal policy or is there another important reason...?
