Shutterstock.com / Average EPD so far for June
« on: June 12, 2020, 08:58 »
We are not quite half way through June, but I wanted to post my EPD for this month and a few past months:

June 2019 (Full Month) - $.36
May 2020 (Full Month) -  $.66
June 2020 (MTD)         -  $.51

I think after 3 months checking net earnings and EPD we will know what effect the price change is having.

Software / Lightroom preset for trendy washed out look?
« on: June 22, 2016, 14:20 »
So I am seeing more and more processed (lightly) washed out social website inspired content make it onto SS. I was wondering if anyone had a preset that makes it through SS inspection for a well exposed "normal" image. If not, I will start playing around with one and share if there is interest.

Thanks!

Canon / Anyone else not happy with the 5D MIII?
« on: November 02, 2015, 07:15 »
I have been shooting 5ds for years. I have to say the performance on the MIII has me thinking about a switch to another brand. Studio performance is fine, but I am not happy with outside focus, contrast and low light grain. I just can understand what is going on. In some cases my 60D does better than the MIII. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing the same or if the nut behind the camera needs adjustment?

I am thinking about a mirrorless full frame, any ideas?

Thanks!

iStockPhoto.com / Getty Images Payments
« on: August 25, 2015, 13:37 »
This is going to sound really newbish. I track my Sales on iStock and the partner program sites, but I cant figure out how to see my sales on Getty Images. I know I am selling there because I keep getting payouts (separate from iStock payouts), but I have no idea how to drill into the details. Thanks in advance for your help.

General Stock Discussion / When to "shoot your turkeys"
« on: February 26, 2015, 14:12 »
I have been submitting for about four years now, but devote so little time to the process, I consider myself a student. I was thinking about some of my older submissions that never sold once and wondering if it makes sense to delete them. In other words does it help my sales to have a higher percentage of popular images or a higher image count

Thanks in advance!

Kyle
