Adobe Stock / Humour

Hello!
I have read that "files are processed in the order they arrive" and this is proven to be false, multiple times. There are a few files of mine, 2 of which in particular remain stuck in a rut for months (and still there) while others, which were reviewed much later, are processed by Adobe briefly.

Contacting humans seems impossible and they always keep stating what has been proven to be not true.

Can you somehow intercede between us humans and the file processing machine to point out that no, it is not true that files are "processed exactly in the order they arrive" and that some files get stuck there?

I am not asking for help for me in particular, but for the problem in general.

Thanks for your time and attention.

DepositPhotos / Are they next?
« on: July 19, 2023, 12:27 »
I have a feeling that the next one to go down in flames will be Depositphotos. In my personal experience offline, but now also in my online experience with microstock agencies, you can immediately see that IT infrastructure and services are starting to malfunction, problems are not being solved, resources are not being treated with due care, whether they are human or assets of potential earnings, but ABOVE all business tools.

All the agencies you have seen fall one by one have presented the same characteristics. First you work poorly, then problems are not solved, meanwhile you make little money, then the end.

What do you think?

I don't know how to tell this to an admin. (see the subject)

But this video is a crystal clear and brutally honest thought that I found shared in some group in some social:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_Gowh5paPo (title "A.I. Is Going to Destroy the Stock Photography Market (And It's Coming For Your Porn Too!)" by photographer Andy Hutchinson)

I appreciate the part about porn and recognizing that it is all generative production of anything that can touch the senses (audio/video) and digitizable. If it can be digitally reproduced, an iA can do it, it's just a matter of time. Porn has always been a frontier and experimental market for everything: it works or it doesn't work, it can be done or it can't be done, both technically and legally, it is economically viable or not and on what terms.

So I consider watching this video to reason, lucidly, remembering that when we feel fragile we tend to always listen to those who reassure us.

it is really hard to know what to do in the future, and it would be very very nice to be able to reason ASSEMBLY with the platforms-they do not feel like needing us and paying us. In the same way customers would like to do vis--vis the platforms.

Each of us is somewhere in this chain.

Between August and October 2022 Adobe Stock is requesting and accepting PNGs with transparency.

What other agencies are doing this, if you know FOR SURE ?

Image Sleuth / 52112.com STOLEN CONTENT OF ALL KINDS
« on: November 17, 2022, 09:31 »
52112.com is selling stolen content without shame. There is content from the best contributors on any major site. But isn't China part of the WTO? So we shouldn't have intentional copyright protections?

samples:
https://www.52112.com/member_u_96_6.html

https://www.52112.com/member_u_350_276.html

By doing a bit of Googling with google images and your own images I think you can find the results. You cannot start from the home. There seem to be various Chinese who simply download and resell.

These are only TWO very evident samples about content I know, because I love that creators.

iStockPhoto.com / Browser notifications "CHANGE" not working
« on: August 17, 2022, 02:26 »
Since - they say -"they listened to us" and now there would be this wonderful and very useful information function tailor-made for us (thank you, how nice!) , I went to click "CHANGE" but nothing happens.
Exactly the same way nothing happens by clicking , exactly the same way, "ticket submit." And it's interesting that by contrast clicking on the link next to "forum", that one instead strangely works immediately. As if to say: help yourself?

I don't understand why both adobe and getty go out of their way to disseminate information in a thousand different streams when all you have to do is send us an e-mail newsletter with information. Do you want to make the information (the same!) available in multiple channels? That's perfectly fine, but keep using the ones that have been working great for ages.

Or at least make the new ones work.

iStockPhoto.com / Did Deepmeta shutdown after upload ever worked?
« on: February 07, 2022, 19:06 »
It doesn't matter if DM has been started as administrator or user, if I check this feature, it never shuts down pc after upload operations in my PC (win)

So, now we are going to be forced to use these new Enhanced model releases. That's it, I have no problem with that, I am this side of the lens.

But it's funny the answer to "What if models don't want to sign an enhanced model release?" that I read as "if they don't sign this, you can't work with them, stop."

This is great, because GDPR and every other kind of data protection laws are created about freedom and people's control concepts. But their freedom is take it or leave it kind  ;D

I've clearly read that they state "we will continue to accept non-enhanced model releases for the time being" but I have plenty of OLD shooting model releases and I hope that, in regards to the old releases, they don't want to consider this stuff retroactive in the future.

Image Sleuth / is VECTEEZY partner site of some kind?
« on: November 06, 2021, 00:20 »
I found my photographs AND the ones of a friend of mine on VECTEEZY

Photos are under my standard username and my most used avatar, as like as it was really me. But I don't know who they are.

Some cases:

1) they are a partner site of someone: where are partner site lists? I have to know who transfers what to whom.
2) image are stolen; this is a crime: not only I want the image to be removed, but also they to pay for a THEFT crime: where in the world if a steal an apple and you spot me if you catch me just say "ah ok here I'll give it back"? In real life you go in jail.

iStockPhoto.com / DeepMeta Italian/Spanish added
« on: June 16, 2021, 12:18 »
Did you see? If you speak Spanish or Italian now the GUI offers these 2 languages too, and it's different from the keywording language. Not bad for the ones hating the GUI in a different language from their own! :)

Discussione Italiana / DeepMeta Italiano!
« on: June 16, 2021, 12:14 »

iStockPhoto.com / FOOTAGE keywords not loaded in deep meta
« on: May 24, 2021, 10:20 »
A friend of mine called me because his video files, tagged with Adobe Bridge weren't correctly loaded in Deep Meta with their embedded meta-tags. It seems they sometimes receive keywords and sometimes they don't. Unpredictable result. Weird.
So I asked him to give me a couple of his files: one working and the other one failing to have keywords loaded in deep meta.

But since I was lazy, before starting this check with his files, I shooted a micro-video with my camera, downloaded on my pc, tagged everything as usual and dropped into deep meta... BAD SURPRISE  :'( title and description were there, but no keyword was loaded. So I skipped the check with my friend's files: also MY files had now a problem.

I think the problem is in Bridge, but really... I don't know!
I'm very tired and frustrated about these piece of software that work one day and the following day don't.

Anyone else with these kind of problems?

Scenario: every piece of software updated constantly. Windows 64.

Image Sleuth / Alliance 4 creativity
« on: January 09, 2021, 20:52 »
https://www.alliance4creativity.com/

this seems like BSA ,
but I can't see ANY of our agencies doing this: protect our assets as an alliance, a strong force against robbery.

We are always asking for more money and so on... but we should ask agencies to protect IP assets!

iStockPhoto.com / deep meta site status?
« on: January 08, 2021, 15:49 »
Hallo, are you having problems with that site too?
It keep on saying "error, refresh" ... no matter what's the page.

I'll try to make this discussion more interesting to a woman-biased-aware-world.

Suppose you are a woman. You call a service and someone asks you "have you asked a man before? can I talk to a male representative that could understand my words?"
If you're not a woman, overturn the situation and the male/female words. Are you happy or upset?

So, imagine how do I feel when I call an internet-based company with a higly-technical problem, after more than 10 years of collaboration meaning I FREAKING KNOW WHAT I DO and the company representative asks me "What browser and its version do you use? Did you try to clear your cache and cookies?".

Oh no, I'm using a paper blocknotes to write down cookies information on behalf of my vapor-based computer and I only empty my cache in the cat litter, what do you mean? browser? what's a browser? I don't know. Why there are words appearing on my screen? is this magical?

iStockPhoto.com / Deep Meta different color sales (wish)
« on: November 10, 2020, 23:55 »
Mr.Franky, is there a chance to see an optional feature to set different colors to different kind of sales the list? example: video / images / vectors ... or editorial/creative ...

I'm selling quite almost only images, but I also sell videos and getty/Istock is one of the places in which this happens with high numbers with low earnings ... it would be great to spot immediately where those videos are.
But I can figure out there are similar interests, for example for photographers working with editorial and non-editorial content, etc.

Shutterstock.com / LAWYERS, CLASS ACTION, NAOMI KLEIN
« on: June 18, 2020, 18:51 »
Hallo everybody.

  • Anyone contacted a lawyer? We are content-creators, don't pretend to be an expert in international trade, law, unions, contracts, rights.
  • Some months ago, maybe 1 year, our contracts, as usual one-sidedly changed stating we agree (there is no change to not-agree: everything is take or leave) to NOT participate in class action and any kind of diverse litigation ... but are we sure enough this is fair, possible, legal and couldn't be challenged court as a first point to go on with a CLASS ACTION? We are LOTS, and we are acting as a lot of flies, not as united mass with a great power. Let's let them see our "POTENTIAL" and earn 40% from the scratch as a basis or let them give a taste of their own medicine and pay back in kind.
If we don't know if its legal and don't call a GREAT lawyer (money can buy it), we are only a naked-ass scimpanze shaking around against real warriors with bazookas.
  • Anyone in USA, talking plain current English, able to tell the whole story of the fall of microstock, content creation, gig economy (every kind of digital marketplace works like that, Microsoft Store, Apple Store, Google Play store) and the Shutterstock actual move, could contact NAOMI KLEIN to start an interesting ethic and moral move against people making great "fair" claims and making us struggle for cents? Of course there is someone upsetting if we call this slavery... but when you give me 0.10 cent and you earn 10$ you know that something is wrong with you. No one takes a someone forcefully making him or her work. They simply create a world in which they have the power to lower worker's earning in a way never permitted if it was a wage.

United we stand, divided we fall (cit).

Remember: lawyers, force them to TALK, no automated responses. No "chances to earn". ALternatives have to be "free crap" or "good content at fair price".

Everything found for free and good have to be erased from paid content as a kind of content: if we SPEND in creating, someone that gives for free have to be a fool to spend and giving away.

Of course, they spend for DSLR for having fun.  But there is a limit.
There are action that could be taken to protect commerce, and digital assets. But they simply don't care because assets are OURS. So when they earn it's ok, if they don't they'll simply close with money earnt so far.

LAWYERS, folks. Anyone called them? Anyone interested and seeing money with wich being paid as a lawyer in our interest?

Someone noticed there is that new "crushpixel.com" but there are NO information about where arey they phisically based, where are hadquarters, WHO do they are, are they trustworthy? How can this be proven? Is this a cover for something?
They give interesting percentages to contributors but they don't tell who they are. Is there a big company or two guys and a garage server? Are they able to enforce a copyright lawsuit for international DCMA infringements or copyright infringements? Are they thieves of some other companies or good people, good administrators, great CEO and CTO with tons of people working since years?

Are they in China, India, Turkey, USA, Canada, Norway, South Africa, Australia? NO-INFO!

What laws are valid for them? Their information seem to be a unread copy of some other big site.

It's weird.

krakenimages.com/ seems like a hypersimplified version of a sub-selection of something that smells like Yuri Arcurs peopleimages.com
But I'm not a detective, so I'm not very skilled in digging into this kind of hidden information.

Does anyone else know something about?

I say this because there are some of the most emerging claims about him, like the transparent background PNG versions of people, and the "soul" of this marketing operation, that I saw through instagram and seems to be a selection of what he could consider "b-quality" to cash in on anyway.

DepositPhotos / FTP continues failures
« on: July 11, 2019, 17:54 »
I'm experiencing a very frustrating situation with Depositphotos. FTP keeps disconnecting, having timeouts, arriving to 99% of a files, not permitting retrieve of previously started trasnfer ... and when you ask them to check, they ask something TO YOU, instead of checking themselves. Of course we have the same program we had when error didn't occour.

I asked colleagues: they have errors too. Corrupted files, transfer undone, connection problems, "too many connections from this IP" ... and so on.

The captchas make me waste time in useless requests for too many times and in my experience when a company does not solve the structural problems means that is failing in its main business and therefore does not spend to make things work.

Are you experiencing FTP problems or we are the only unlucky people?

CanStockPhoto.com / FRESH and IGNORING us
« on: May 18, 2017, 15:57 »
I've just received this (something addressed to customers, imho) : <your name here> we're excited to publicly launch our latest search tool called "Fresh". This new search mode allows you to search exclusively our freshest and most undiscovered content, to find inspiring images that you (and others) probably haven't seen before.

With a million images added to our library each month, we have a constant supply of incredible new files posted by the minute. But up until now it wasn't always easy to find those new images, especially for popular search terms with millions of results. If this sounds familiar, we think you'll love Fresh.

To give it a shot, try your favorite search and click the "Fresh" mode button. You can switch back to Best Match at any time.

Excuse my English, I'm not a natural English Speaker.

I think this is only a trick that is set in this way: they're showing (and selling) only images that have zero sales when you select "fresh".
This could be good because we sell something we never sold. But this works once: then these images stop being "fresh".
I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing. Of course we'd better sell once more a file than less.

There is another and very bad question to me: canstock ignores their ticket system: I've opened a ticket some MONTHS ago and they are completely ignoring the problem that's preventing me to continue indexing and, so, selling more files. The only files that are selling are the old ones.

This is not a good sign: there are PRESENT problems and they don't work on them, looking to the "future"... If your car is broken it's not a so good idea to look how far you can go tomorrow instead of fixing it.

iStockPhoto.com / DEEP META 3.0.13
« on: March 28, 2017, 20:27 »
Colors: it would be nice if we could set our own preferred colors (and an emergency "reset" button for dumb people), but I ask urgently a change for the refine-keywords section: please something VERY different for the already-selected keywords ... like red ... blue ... even bold-black would be better readable than this, for me :(

I tried the "move column" option in the "reviews" section and I couldn't move anything: only add/remove.

Sync worked well!
