Pond5 / Re: How has Pond5 been in 2021?

As for me Pond5 Exclusive is top earner, even with much smaller portfolio, than on SS and AS

Are there people still uploading to YAY? even after all the posts here?

No. I've stopped uploading and deleted most of my clips. Soon I will delete rest of my portfolio...

So many cheap sales on SS... A lot of sales, but little income, 3rd month in a row Pond5 gives me 2x - 3x times more income than SS. Exclusive account has its benefits, because I do not want also to sell my work for pennies. Maybe for some countries this income is fine, but to live at my place selling for pennies or several dollars is not enough to continue this work.

I agree subscription model has negative impact on our income in long-time perspective. With help of some video contributor soon  prices will be like for photos. Read forums, how rare became normal sales for normal or good price for pictures, almost everything is sold for cents. If these footage contributors continue support subscriptions, soon we will be earning like stock photographers...

By the way they do not reply to any of my messages. They just ignore my questions...

As far as I know many buyers look arond where they can get cheaper. And if they can buy you video for $1, of course they will. But when they need some content and can't get cheaper, they will buy it. So you can undercut your sales. That's why I upload new content on POND5 Exclusive and I see benefits from it.

Hello! That's very bad news. How to protect our rights? I don't know if my footage is there too, I suppose it can be, but unfortunately I can't check.

I've stopped uploading new fresh footage to SS, and I upload only on Pond5 Exclusive, so last three months Pond5 is my TOP earner, 2-3 times more than SS. Colleagues, think who you feed, look in long time perspective, what is the future... Don't feed the monster. Have business only with companies, who treat you fair and be happy :)

Do they pay out even below the treshold if I close my account now?
Good question, I would like to know that too.

Does anyone know all their partner sites?

I have same situation. For short moment, when I received e-mail from Yay I was happy thinking that my footage was sold for normal price... But that was not for long, when I looked at sales were $4 per video. It's far lower than my files was priced. But when I looked at their new pricing and plans for video, I understood, what a great mistake I've made uploading there. So according to UNLIMITED PLAN customers can download unlimited videos and pictures for as low as $29.00/month. Interesting how earnings for unlimited downloads calculated...

I think I need to remove my portfolio from there.
