I really feel bad for you, but If I had as many shoots as you are having
I would have a backup camera

I should have had one! Should have never sold my D70! :(

Why do you open a second discussion about the same subject?

I lost the last thread :(

Ok I have a Nikon D200 and have had it just about a year. The worst experience ever... (had a D70 and D100 before without a problem). Take a look at the article I wrote, let me know what you think...

Their servers are probably having issues, the site works but the submit portion seems out of order :(

Aw thank you :) I am just worried how much money this person made of me :(

General Stock Discussion / Misuse of downloaded image, help!
« on: July 07, 2008, 22:49 »
I uploaded an image on 7/31/2007:

An extended license was sold for: $12.13 on
Sunday August 26, 2007, 04:30 PM

So I Googled my name, and a link came up:

I never saw that site before, nor has anyone downloaded this image from any other stock site I have uploaded it too. No idea what to do... Also if you visit their homepage, this image is in the popular buys section. As well as far as I understood the agreement on IstockPhoto, extended license does not allow this... any ideas? or advice.... or similar experiences??

I tried downloading the add on for firefox, but could anyone make a widget for Mac?, Options to which sites you want to monitor and a place to login for each? That would be amazing! I can help spread the word like wildfire if there is one!! anyone??

15 / Re: Sales at Alamy. Any updates?
« on: June 26, 2008, 12:09 »
I have 682 pictures on that website with a lot of views and been there for a while... like 3 months, not a single sale! :(

I have the following equipment

Nikon D200 50mm 1.4

Shoot everything in raw (studio - 100), outside - 200-400 ISO

Tripod, remote release.. and so fourth :)

also if they do not give a reason does that mean they would have accepted it?

Only a few on the last batch have a reason and the couple ones I submitted they spoke about noise.

I understand there are some images that are bad, but the point of this post was to figure out what is good that I can submit...

What about the models that are on isolated white backgrounds??

also what about models and objects isolated on white, is it good?

This is what they always send me:

In order for Shutterstock to maintain the high standard of our photography collection, new submitters must receive approval on at least seven (7) of their first ten (10) images to continue uploading. Unfortunately, while some of the images you submitted may meet our guidelines, we are unable to approve the requisite number and have temporarily disabled the uploading function on your account. This decision was based on concerns about quality, composition, lighting, or other features of your initial batch of images and we have listed the reasons below.

I know a lot of the images are not great, but I was hoping to figure out what they like so I can get in, any help?

23 / Been trying to get in for months now...
« on: May 24, 2008, 16:47 »
I have tried getting on that site for a few months now. Applied well over 5 times by now.. Can someone help me pick the right photos? I was able to upload everything I have ever down to 123RF. Any kind soul willing to go through my gallery and pick out the 10 they think will help me get in? Please :(  :'(

My 123RF Gallery:

Could you pick out your 10 that you would submit to Shutterstock?? Please :)

Which site likes what better?

Keep your camera!

Your sport photos are 1class.

In these photos you master colour, composition, action and lighthandling.

Your models are very nice, but as some other mentioned before don't post bws.

About your nature, try to leave you wideangel at home, go harder on cutting edges and try to be different from the average nature photographers.

But please, don't quit i see a lot of knowhow in your photos and truly love some of your sportaction. Bring it on!

thank you for your kind words, will keep thinking about copy space as some have mentioned, just tough when I am only used to thinking about the model. But does anyone know if I am keywording things correctly?
