123RF / Re: Help With Filing Taxes and Missing 1099
« on: April 11, 2023, 13:42 »
Yeah, I want to report it anyway, and I will use this information. Hopefully, I will not have to amend it later because I want to avoid sending papers by mail.

Thank you!

123RF / Help With Filing Taxes and Missing 1099
« on: April 11, 2023, 09:59 »
Hi everybody,

I still don't see my 1099 in 123RF Tax Center. I called them, and they told me to send an email. I emailed them, but they never responded. I have only 50-something dollars to report, and I was wondering if anyone here has their info for tax purposes (EIN and their address). If you do, please share it here so I can submit my taxes.

I found this. Can anybody please tell me if I can use this info? https://eintaxid.com/company/990375104-123rf-llc/

Thank you!

General Stock Discussion / Someone Selling Our Images on Ebay
« on: January 20, 2019, 04:52 »
I just found that one of my images is selling on eBay by some company called FreeArt. The image is unedited, so they basically buy stock images and resell them. Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Californian-Poppy-Art-Print-Home-Decor-Wall-Art-Poster-F/173405134318?hash=item285fc05dee:m:mTPvUlrOOehv2VU3GyFctng:rk:2:pf:0

I can see though that they gave me credit, but I still wonder if this is allowed or not.

Upload to both and let them worry about it.

iStockPhoto.com / Eyeem and Istock at the same time?

Hey guys, is it allowed to submit the same content to Eyeem and Istock, since they both sell the content on Getty?

Newbie Discussion / Re: How do I "clean image" before uploading it

They care about earning money from your photos, not about the software you used.

Wow, Thank you ShadySue lol. I submitted more than 100 raster illustrations as creative images so fat, and they were all accepted. Maybe I should contact them and ask them to move them into "illustrations" category.
LOL!
Just shows how thorough their inspection process is nowadays!  ::)
:D

I uploaded one raster illustration to Istock a couple of days ago under "Creative Images" category, and the illustration was accepted. Only a day later I uploaded another one, and that one was rejected with this reason: "In ESP we have merged raster (JPEG) illustrations with vector illustrations under the Illustration Artists Supply Agreement. As such, we ask that you please submit both raster and vector illustration uploads using the new ESP system as Illustrations."

Does this mean that from now on raster illustrations should be uploaded in the same batch as vector illustrations? Was there any announcement that I missed?

Thank you!

Adobe Stock / Re: My biggest sale!

I had 3 of those in the last 2 days, and even though it says that I have over 300 dollars total earnings the payout button is heated out and it says that I need to have at 50 dollars to ask to be paid. So, I'm guessing it's done kind of a glitch.

CanStockPhoto.com / Property Release for Illustrations
« on: August 01, 2018, 01:56 »
Hi guys,

So, recently I started creating vector and raster backgrounds out of my photos. Canstockphoto, unlike most other agencies, is asking for a property release for these illustrations. They are not asking for a reference image, but for a complete property release signed by a witness, with the address of the property. This is kind of a too much hassle for me. Filling out a release for every illustration, scanning the same release and uploading it doesn't seem to pay off. If Canstockphoto was selling more, then I would probably do it, but like this....

Is there anybody who does the same kind of work, and what do you do? Does it pay off for you?

Thanks!

I do work in Illustrator, but I wanted to try being in Photoshop. And yes, I know I can't have any rasters. All is sorted out now. I'm still learning. Most of my files are photos.

I actually found a solution. When I export it as svg from Photoshop all the bitmaps disappear. :)

Shutterstock.com / Vector Rejected because of Embedded Image
« on: June 07, 2018, 22:25 »
Guys, I submitted only a few vectors so far, and my last one was rejected for embedded images. I can see the embedded images in the links panel. All the images is basically just a single color fill. Is there a quick way to replace these images with a real fill and get rid of them completely? I can do it one by one, but it takes a lot of time.

Basically, to explain more, what I have is a bunch of shapes, but their color fill comes from embedded images underneath them, and I have to get rid of those embedded images and replace the color from the images with the real fill. All embedded images have just a single color.

Thanks in advance.

I don't mind customers paying $3.00 in cryptocurrency for my photos if I'm gonna get 85% of those $3.00 ($2.55). I would rather do that than get 15% ($1.20) of $8.00 paid by a customer, and I already own cryptocurrency. I don't think corporate buyers will rush to cryptocurrency stock agency to buy photos, but individual buyers might do it.... who knows. Anyway, it's gonna take time it to pay off.

How many video do you have? I would never recommend being exclusive with any website. If you don't have too many videos I would try to close the account at Getty, and reopen it as a non exclusive (or just see if you can switch to non-exclusive without closing the account).

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Suddenly Can't Login to ESP. Can You?
« on: March 07, 2017, 13:57 »
Thanks,

I managed to log in as well. For some reason ESP was showing me that I am not logged in only when I am on their login page, so I didn't even notice. However, on other pages, it was showing me that I'm logged in lol. It must be either cache on the website, or some java incompatibility issue.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: ESP: All Invites have been sent out
« on: February 28, 2017, 19:22 »
I don't know where to even start explaining what's happening to my account haha. I already have an account on ESP but they sent me another invitation to create an account, and they are not letting me to use my existing email address because that account already exists. However, when I log in, I only see some royalties from music, and not a trace of my images.

My nice steady sales that were lasting for years turned into zero a couple of months ago.... so, no, I didn't notice any payment, not to mention a double one lol.
