Hmmm...Just did a little checking with regards to the image. Seems it ended up on a book cover, and was made into a movie. Nope, never got a property release...or an extended license. The image, of course, was deactivated last April.

Recently, one of agency/distributors I deal with received a claim in regards to a property image in my portfolio that I took several years ago (a bed and breakfast). The agent/distributor is requesting from me specific information about the shot. Can I be liable in any way for this claim? Just wondering.

I've never posted about poor sales, but the end of May to date has been abysmal. I have over 10,000 images, and have been fortunate to see 1-3 sales/day...none of which are S+. All S&M...which is the way I'm feeling about iStock...a non-sexual pain and humiliation.

Lately I am getting 100% acceptance for technical quality but keep getting dinged for model releases.
I've noticed this, too-100% acceptance. For me it seems they've eased up on the "harsh shadows."

Thinking more about this, the timing is the other concern - we're coming up to the busy season. IS has repeatedly hosed the site during busy times because they botched software changes/updates. September to mid-December is one of the traditionally big sales seasons and it would be sane planning, IMO, if the site were worked on in January or over the summer (August is drawing to a close and they haven't started to roll out changes yet).
Perhaps this will be the one release that goes smoothly and has only minor bugs.....
A lot of contributors are thinking the same thing, but you'll never see this post on the IS Forums.

Six years of uploading images to IS, a 25% cut in royalties, and now they want me to bring in new talent so they can pay them 17% and further erode my income? Yeah, right...
