I suppose the site didnt pay for the small size microstock pictures so I would like to warn the author or the microstock site about it. But my question is, anybody has any experience on finding "robberies" or other fraud uses?, and what you did?
Thanks in advance

Discusin en Espaol / Re: El futuro del Microstock
« on: October 14, 2008, 14:52 »

Miz, i like your posts, not always you have reason in my opinion but you know the way to torture some commonplaced  minds.
Some might say 'if I take photographs I'm a photographer' so if i am singing while I'm writing I am a singer. (and I am a writer too!)
It is not the same to get a life with photographs and just simply love photography, maybe some of the lovers, not me, could know much more than a professional but I suppose you'd agree that they could represent just a few portion.
Why we define so much categories on what people do? Because is needed I think.
I like photography, I earn a bit with my photos, so maybe I am a junior photographer

Thanks for comments, i really do appreciate your experience and im grateful when people take me out of my own crazy ideas, Im serious. I have to wait and the most important of all is: I have to make photos more interesting for microstocks first and then begin to plan any kind of future on a real one present basis. I really think that so short prices are logical in a competitive market but I feel so terrible about to get 20 cents of a dollar for a single photo, I mean there must be a way to increase these amount 4 or five times at least. It just an impression.

My little experience is: 5 sales joining all sites, I'm an absolutely beginner and I'm microstocking just fun (I'm not good enough yet and my equipment is just a coolpix L2 :), but the one I've sold on FP has give me 70% of all my earnings.

The idea of being exclusive on FP in the future is in my mind, the site is the way I like and you could set your own price which I think is very interesting. I think microstock prices are absolutely crazy because they don't respect the talent of the photographer at all. Arts and commercial should be together in my opinion.

I have a couple of editorial images at Stockphotomedia

I have my first sold, 9$

I like this kind of stock, I prefer to stablish my own price, If everybody goes agree we could sold higher, I mean, we should sell at least at 30$ if a photo is actually a good shot with commercial sense. But we don't live in my oniric world  ::)

kind regards

miz your posts I've read are always interesting but now you have a winner! :)

Im sure that something you can called soul or temper or whatever may lead our actions, maybe sun is the key, or magnetic fields, or the way planets align. I like to know people interested in how the world actually works, and don't say yes to commonplaces.

kind regards

« on: May 05, 2008, 04:04 »
I told you my experience, my first and only one try at shutterstock has been horrible, 0 out of 10, but i have any noise rejection, I use filter on phshp and resized to the minimun acceptable size at ss that is 1800x2400.
But as i read on this topic, the commercial value and great light in your pics is extremely important, that my problem in all archives i submitted.

Poor lightning and composition these are the clues, usng the filter and resizing no porblem at all with noise.

Best regards

Hello everybody,

I am new on this exciting world of microstocks and I am beginning to send some of my pics to several stocks. I have found very interesting info on these topics but I would like to know if anybody has any experience in the Britishimages.co.uk . It is quite different from the stocks I knew and I would like to know if anybody has ever had any sale on that site.

Thanks in advance and regards for all
