So I uploaded 191 photos from my iPhone over a year ago and a few sales have trickled in but I didn't get my first sale until about nine months after I uploaded. Stopped uploading since then, and made a whopping $24 on four sales.
I may start uploading iPhone photos again since I just bought the iPhone 7. I don't want to duplicate anything since I upload DSLR photos to Alamy and Fotolia, so will keep a unique portfolio on EyeEm of mobile photos only.

Think I really screwed up. I was getting a lot of emails about upgrading to grfx converter, and without researching enough, tried to upgrade today. Now I have no access to any of the admin pages, they are all blank white pages, but my site is still there. Looks like it is broken and I have no idea how to fix it or put it back the way it was. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Maybe Photocrati would be the way to go for me. I was so disappointed with the way things went with Symbiostock after signing up for the premium version and 3 years of web hosting. When the forum kept going away, I finally just gave up uploading and have ignored my website for months. It gives me a lump in my stomach thinking about it now. Glanced at Photocrati and I like the modern themes available. Will research it. There is some hope.

For the Stocksy application, I uploaded some stock photos that are already online and some from recent trips. I ended up with a mixed bag of old and new and different styles which might not have been very cohesive as a group.
For my next application in 3 months, I will upload mostly new work using my 5D Mark II and iPhone and work towards a more unified portfolio. I do like some of the filters you can use in Lightroom which are kind of toned down Instagram types and have been getting some good results using my phone camera, which I never would have even considered using in the past.
I was getting pretty bored with the whole stock photo scene (started uploading in 2008), but the hope of getting into Stocksy has reignited a passion for shooting again. I REALLY want to get in there. I work part time as a designer at a marketing and communications agency and most of the photography used there has the "new look". It seems to me that it would be a good idea to go with the flow, and change with the times, even if it means changing my shooting style and post-production techniques.

Oh well. I uploaded 25 initial images on the Stocksy website last Saturday and heard back from them this morning. The photos were rejected but they said would be happy to look at my portfolio again in a few months.

Okay, I just spent the entire day going through photos to find some that would work on Stocksy. Fortunately, I have LOTS of animal photos, especially birds (since I'm a birder) and ended up choosing a bunch of pics that have never been online. Also added a few wildlife photos and some still life photos from my iPhone. Really excited about getting started at Stocksy if they take me, please, please! Fingers crossed.

I joined in March and have sold 2 cards, 1 iPhone case and 4 prints (3 this month). All of the prints were landmarks or cityscapes of Knoxville and Chattanooga and were purchased from 4 different cities in Tennessee. I have entered a few of their contests but haven't done any other type of marketing. I have 370 images online.

Time, but after reading this thread, I am ready to jump in.
I have a full-time salaried job and I am in the process of switching over to hourly so I can leave early when possible to give me more time to work on my photos, FAA and set up my Symbiostock site. I will be happy to pay for help with the set up and I'm excited about the prospect of selling photos directly and hope to gain some distance from the constant stress caused by shenanigans from the agencies.

Been uploading since March of 2008. April 2013 was my best month ever because of a 3rd BME on Shutterstock and a BME on Alamy.

Okay guys and gals, joined Friday night and spent hours over the weekend uploading 103 images, including some old digital paintings. Also scanned some pen and ink and graphite drawings and slides, and some original watercolors, but haven't uploaded the images for those yet (lot of cleaning up to do). Also have some stained glass ornaments I could try to sell, who knows? Seems like the site is right down my alley. I like all the features available on the site and hope to research those when I have free time. Here is a link to the galleries I have so far. http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/melinda-fawver.html?tab=artworkgalleries

I've deleted 6 so far. Oddly enough, have had a lot more downloads than normal the last few days

Photocase has definitely been a challenge. I have about 14 photos accepted out of the 100s I've submitted over the last couple of years. Have I been corrupted by the stock photography style and can no long produce anything artistic?

Not sure what's going on but I'm on track for a BME this month. SS has been outperforming IS all year, but they flipped this month. I'd just about given up hope that my sales would improve on IS but who knows.

Open browser -> Go to Google -> in search field type in "How to get started in Microstock Photography" -> Hit return Spend hours researching cameras, lenses, software, agencies, techniques, workflows, forums, etc. like the rest of us did when we first started out. This is not a field for folks with no patience.

Fotolia has been better than ever the last few months. I thought it was because I finally hit Silver but maybe it is for other reasons?

My last three months have been the best ever since I started uploading to the agencies in March 2008. BME for DT, FT and BS with a 48% increase from May 2010.

Been with SS about 3 years and the last 3 months have been the best ever there. I upload about 6-8 photos a week with close to 1000 images online.

I'm going to go for it and move files into the P+ category. I have a full time job so it doesn't matter if I get more or less sales. Already sold one of my top sellers that was moved into P+ last night so I'm hoping for the best and hope to see improvement in overall sales soon.

Don't know what is going on. 0 sales yesterday when I normally have 7-10. Hope it's just a fluke and not a trend.
