I've tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox and none will activate the greyed out accept button even after I scroll down to read all the disclaimer.

Yeah I'll be giving them a wide berth.
Find it strange no one else got the email.

I'm a bit sceptical about yet another stock site starting up, they do look quite professional though.

Tony, that was my first try too, but I came to the same conclusion as you, so I posted here for more advice. Thanks.
Cool!  8)

You could try using the perspective crop tool in photoshop, That might work for you Ron?
You would need a wider angle to work with.

Just got this reply

HI Tony,
Please rest assured your portfolio has been taken offline, as you can see from your artist page and search results for artist:Tonygers.
Those extra sales were due to our delay in sales reports, and unfortunately were made before we paid you out. We will be sending you another payout.
Cheers!
Lawrence
Customer Service

After checking it seems my images have been removed.

7
My point Ron is that they shouldn't be closing the account until all images are removed regardless of their TOS.
When I search the site for individual items I can easily buy my own images but links to my portfolio are disabled even though my images are clearly still up there.

8
After getting sick of pond 5's petty rejection reasons i'd decided enough was enough and asked them to clear my balance into my paypal account, remove my images and close my account.
After their pathetic 'we just want the best for you and our customers' excuse I reiterated my desire to leave them.
So they paid my balance into my account. I then got news of a sale for $10 followed by news my account had been closed.
I then contacted them about the unpaid $10 sale (no reply)
I then out of curiosity went to the site and looked for my images as a customer would and lo and behold they were all still there available for sale, so I contacted them again asking how this was possible? (no reply)
Went to bed and awoke to see another sale email coming through this time for $7, so checked again and indeed my images were/are still there available for sale even though my account is closed.
Contacted them again about this (still no reply)
This to me is nothing other than fraud and I would recommend for others that might have left Pond5 to check that their images/sounds/videos have indeed actually been removed.

I myself will be making inquiries as to were I legally stand on this.

I guess my portfolio must suck big time for these supergiants of microstock as I got a quick slapdown after enquiring about being a contributor for them.

Oh well! ::)

Never mind. I've given up already. And I already stated it's not me entering the contest, it's a friend. As I said never mind. Consider this thread closed.

I agree. Should be about good images not popularity. And why did they let that naked dude with a woody in the contest!? That is almost gay porn.  :-\ Some of the other images are nice but the contrast between average and very good is big. Some look dull and simple and some are very good! So I understand if some of those images would win agains the better images that might be very frustrating.
Frustrating indeed seeing as number 12 is winning the nature category and number 22 in the macro category. Both these images are from the same person and it now appears She/He may be opening 'phantom' accounts and voting for herself. This is not a path I want to go down and would never consider it. But it seems i'm not getting the support here that I need to stop this cheat.

I guess thought people here would be as outraged by the whole thing as I am? Guess I was wrong!

:(

Don't they ALL turn into that, Tony? And isn't that the point of them? The organisers want the people with most friends to attract attention to their business - at least, that's they usual way it goes. It's about SEO (or sometimes about acquiring copyright) not about photographic skill.
That maybe so but I think this contest is small enough that we can make a difference.

Hi Everyone

A friend of mine has entered a photography contest with various rounds. Everyone's votes for each round is added up with the winner winning a new Nikon D5300 and a runner up prize of a Nikon J3.

The contest started fairly in the first round with the best photographs getting the most votes, but midway through the second round someone decided to make it a popularity contest instead of about skill/talent:
I don't know about you but I hate it when a contest turns into this.

What I ask you to do is this.(the site is in Swedish so please use google translate if you need to)

1. Please register here http://www.familjeliv.se/Medlemmar/registrera.php
2. Once your account is activated please go here http://www.familjeliv.se/Forum-20-178/m71838920.html and vote for your favourite Macro image.
3. Then go here http://www.familjeliv.se/Forum-20-178/m71870620.html and vote for your favourite Nature image.

All I want is to make the contest fair and weed out the cheat which is why I don't tell you the images my friend has. I can trust in everyone here to actually vote for the BEST image.

Please let's make it about the talent.

Thank you for your time

Regards

Tony

I got an EL today for $2.76 and contacted them immediately to tell them to disable my participation in this ridiculous program.
I'm really seething and will consider dropping them completely after my next pay out.

James, I pay 3.4% and paypal doesnt typically charge 2%, its rubbish.

The paypal fee information is here:

http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/sales-payment.asp

Sorry, this will have to be our last post on this for today.

Do you think this information makes everything ok?
Your company is still screwing us out of money we've earned no matter how much or how many times you try to dress it up.

From an admin on the Alamy forum.

Sorry if this isn't clear. Alamy aren't charging you here. The charge is a PayPal charge, which goes to PayPal. You can receive a free bank transfer in the UK or US, and if you're based outside you can get a free payment from Skrill.

But I don't buy this as I don't get charged by paypal for receiving payments from other american based sites.

I am not going to sign up for Skrill, I am with PayPal, and I have an Irish bank.
Same with me except Swedish bank instead.
Getting so pissed off with these agencies taking more and more every year.
Maybe time to consider other options?

I thought 'GREAT NEWS AND ABOUT TIME'

Until I read the part about paypal users being charged a 'small' fee for having the audacity to want their money paid.

*! Is 50% commision not enough payment for these guys?

Always Delete!

Our images are cheap enough as it is!

Hi All,

Matters such as these require some investigation as well as testing, it takes a bit more time. Sending to submissions means that your case will be tracked and see through to completion without further escalation.

Much thanks,
Alex.

Yes Alex of course!

I done this and basically it helped not a jot.
They said the person I refered didn't sign up using my referal link even though he insists he did.
AND
He himself has had the same problem with his referal link not working.

Now I i can't even look at my earning stat's as it's saying i'm 'not authorized to view this page'
If not me then who?

123rf is really becoming a bit of a joke these days. Sorry but that's just how I see it.
