That's what it used to say on my account also after it was closed. But somehow suddenly it's there again. Very weird indeed!

I don't know what Crestock is up to. But a word of warning to you all who have contributed and closed your account there:

I contacted them a few times last summer to ask them to close my account and delete all my images (only 6, but still...). It took ages and several tries to get them to respond. Finally I got a reply that they would delete me and my photos. Great.

Or so I thought. Today I got an e-mail from them telling me that they sold one of my images. What the f**k! My images are not theirs to sell! They are supposed to have been removed more than 6 months ago! I don't know if they think I should be grateful for the 25 cents I've made on the sale. But I'm really angry that THEY made any money at all from images that they have no rights to. Isn't that what's considered as stealing?

So I suggest that all of you who've had their portfolios removed from Crestock log on to there to see if it has magically appeared on their site again like mine seems to have.

Dreamstime.com / Re: No views, no sales

Well, I can't compare with your portfolio since I only have 26 images on Dreamstime so far.
But it sounds like there's something wrong. I've had views on my latest images and have even sold two this week...

Send them an e-mail and ask if there's anything technically wrong with your portfolio.

MAGNUM: "Crestock is not the fastest I agree with that, but u really need to start shooting if u wanna sell.  You have way to small portfolio to complain about sales.    You have more kapsyler ( bottle caps) on your website actually Wink"

I know Magnum!
I'm just a wee beginner at this photobusiness. But slowly I'm going to build a portfolio that's going to be much bigger than my kapsyl-collection! Hopefully! If I ever learn how to avoing bad lighting rejections. And how to not crop my images in camera to make them nice but not sellable...

Obviously I'm quite the newbie as I don't even know how to properly copy a quote from an earlier post ;-)

Hi there!

So how do you delete your portfolio from Crestock?

I have an enormous amount of approved pictures there 6 in total of which I've earned a whopping 25 cents! And that's nearly a year ago.

I've sent an e-mail to their support asking them to delete me and my 6 photos from their site, but they don't reply. I'm even willing to let them keep my 25 cent. To do whatever they want with. Give to charity or buy something pretty. ;-)

I just don't want them to be able to sell anything more of mine (as if!) since I will never ever ever reach something close to a payout there. And I've never uploaded anything more either since they reject everything they see.

SnapVillage.com / Re: How to leave Snapvillage?

OK. Thanks for your replies. I'll just let everything stay for now. And hope that they will delete my account soon.

Don't you think it's odd though that they give no information at all that the site is going "off the air"? They still market it towards new customers. I would be pretty pissed off if I started a subscription there only to have the site die on me soon...

SnapVillage.com / How to leave Snapvillage?
« on: June 03, 2009, 06:09 »
Hi all!

Does anybody know how to close ones account and remove all images from Snapvillage?

Since the site is dead and they already have let me know I will not have my images moved to Veer, I want to take them off the site. Snapvillage is still searchable and I don't know anything about when they will close it down completely. I can't find any information about this on their site.

How have you done with your content there? Should I just keep everything as is until it disappears by itself? What do you think?  ???

A client of mine subscribe to a stocksite called Colourbox. (www.colourbox.com) I've never heard about it before and haven't seen anything about it in this forum either.

Considering you are a new member and this is your very first post, would it be too bold to assume that you are connected with this Danish site?  :P
It is out now by the way. Even Cubestat.com can't connect. Traceroute takes ages. Is it on a garage server or on a mainstream hoster?

No, no, not at all. I have no connection to them. But I work as a graphic designer and buy a lot of images for different clients. Mostly I buy from iStock. I also try to sell some images myself. I have a small small portfolio at a few sites. And I can't say I'm getting rich from sales yet ;-)

But the other day I was doing a job for a client and they asked me to get some images for them from Colourbox, where they had a subscription. So I just got curious about this and wondered if it was a site worth distributing to. I'm from Sweden and have mostly images from here, so I thought they might be interested in more Scandinavian pictures.

I've never heard about it before and haven't seen anything about it in this forum either. Does anybody here know anything about them? Is it a Micro or Macro-site? Is it worth the time and effort to try to be a contibutor there?
