Envato / Envato payouts!
« on: April 12, 2017, 10:37 »
I'm one of the rejected contributors of Photodune with a blank portfolio on their website now. Earning currently at $46.16 and just under a payout. Bored with the lack of explanation to someone like me i just tweeted to @envato_help that question and got back the answer:

Hey Russ,

For earnings of less than $50 you can make purchases on any of the Envato Market sites. If your balance is still below $50 after 12 months, you can withdraw the balance to a PayPal account. ^RG

This has to be a joke right....... I mean really they're expecting people to wait for a year to get their money? Or have i just woken in an alternative universe?

ANyone else got this?

Does anyone out there know how the payout system works at 123rf. Evidently it's all automatic, but when does it kick in and how? I sent them an email about it but have heard nothing (no suprise there then)! Ta.

Quite right all of you! Who in their right mind would allow a thirdperson to copy in any way their personal documents be it a passport or driving licence, all for the supposed privilege of having their photo taken and added to a library. Libraries always make a play of wanting more people shots then make it impossible/unfeasible to take them.

Just seen the Fotolia blog where it seems the talk is of mass rejection of photos and acceptance of vectors. The few photos accepted are frankly shoddy quality - therefore the quality rejection excuse put out by them is implausible.

Just my 2 penneth!!

Well for what it's worth and from my point of view i'll probably stop uploading there now as I haven't had an image accepted there for about three or four months. Prior to the management change i was building up a sizable library there with an acceptance leval of about 60% - however since the change nothing has got through! I'll stop uploading there now as it's not worth my time and bother and concentrate on the others of the big 6 i'm with.
The theory of batches of images not accepted because of an overall similarity is valid however not in all cases including mine. More likely it's something like running out of server space, winding the company up in order to combine it with another one favouring uploads from specific geographical areas or subject matter - something like that. Frankly can't be bothered with them though anymore - they are taking the mick!

Hi, the original release that i downloaded on the 28.06.09 has the word "optional" next to the "attach visual etc etc" wording. The current one i downloaded today doesn't????

As i don't upload images with people that much have i just realised something that changed months ago or just recently. No longer is the "Attach Visual Reference here" box optional as it was it seems; and is also more prominant on the form. Has this had any impact on anyone else or will this make it even more unlikly for me to upload model based images to istock. People are reticent to say the least when faced with a form let alone one that requires further visual reference!! If this is the case i shall take them elsewhere.

If SS think that I'm going to spend any money whatsoever getting passports ID etc notorised or rubber stamped they have another thing coming. The simple fact for SS is that June 1st will see vast swathes of thier libray removed (including mine) and thier finances reduced accordingly. Call it what you want but it's all down to US protectionism for thier contributors and the big finger to any foreigners. After all 25c is an insult really - i only uploaded here whilst i was uploading to the others!!

Firstly when i read the SS email, it read as a cheap scam from some third world country. After a while though it sank in that it was all above board. Now after a few hours all it seems is a method of reducing non US contributors to SS, and ignoring the concept of free trade and promoting protectionism via the back door. This IRS "con" doesn't seem to exist on any of the other dozen stock sites i deal with so why with SS. Simple - at the end of the month i'm opting out of any picture sales until SS sees sense if not then it's bye bye. With thier pathetic 25cents fees just how daft do they take all non US residents anyway!

I was rather looking for statistics per image/file rather than per day.

Does anyone know of a method of seeing individual images download statistics in either numbers or dollar values at all in Shutterstock?
Thanks
